OBJECTIVE

I have worked the past 11 years for two companies, Dyck O’Neal and American Honda Finance Corporation. In that time I have worked in 6 different departments, taking on various roles like project manager, department manager, skip tracer, repo processor, customer service representative, and bankruptcy analyst. I have been employee of the month 22 times at Honda, employee of the year at Dyck O’Neal, and consider myself to be an ideal candidate for your job opening due to my experience and skills I learned as a department and project manager.

EDUCATION

Texas A&M University, College Station, TX 09/03-05/06

Bachelor Degree in History with Minor in Economics

EMPLOYMENT

Dyck O’Neal (DONI), Dallas, TX 11/13-10/17

Manager, Documentation & Acquisitions 01/15-10/17

Managed the acquisition, set up, assimilation, and verification of new accounts into the company's proprietary collections systems.

Collaborated with the IT department, collections staff and compliance team to solve any issues that arose during this procedure.

In 2015 +10,000 accounts were completed through this process which represented an all-time high for the 29 year old company.

2015 Employee of the Year

Attended industry conferences and trade shows as the lead representative of the company.

Traveled to clients' home offices for high level discussions on current and future business goals and strategies.

Florida Project Manager 01/14-07/14

Managed a team of +10 employees which worked with a law firm to take legal action against +3,500 accounts in a span of 6 months to obtain judgments before the statute of limitations (SOL) expired. The project kept the company from losing over a half of billion dollars worth of collectable debt due to SOL expiration and has resulted in millions of dollars of collections post-judgment, with these numbers growing monthly as collections will continue on these accounts until 2024.

Promoted to assistant manager immediately after the project’s end due to the results.

American Honda Finance, Las Colinas, TX 10/06-11/13

Deficiency Collector & End of Term Sr. Account Manager 02/12-11/13

I was the first associate picked to re-start the Deficiency Department internally within Honda, after multiple years of it having been worked by an outside vendor. I helped setup the grading curve, RMS schedules, and logistics in the day to day activities for the associates that came after me into the newly created department. Afterwards I became a Sr. Account Manager in the End of Term Department where I trained associates, handled escalated calls and oversaw the productivity of my team.

During my stay in the Deficiency Department I had 10 monthly audits where I competed with between 1-6 account managers on a bell curve. In 6 of the 10 months I was #1 in the department and was named account manager of the month more times than the rest of the department combined during my stay.

Recovery Analyst 12/10-02/12

As a recovery analyst I processed repossessions, filled out and sent post repo letters, paid invoices, tracked inventory through the auction process, filled out and sent deficiency letters, and handled post repo calls which often could become contentious due to the circumstances. The job was good in improving my ability to handle escalated calls as well as focus on details as any mistake in that role would leave Honda open for lawsuits due to the sensitive nature of the accounts we handled.

Bankruptcy Analyst & Asset Recovery 10/06-12/10

As a collector in the Asset Recovery Department I sharpened my skip tracing and collecting skills from my time in the BKC Charge off Department and improved my ability to navigate the collections systems: Accurint, Fast Data, Microbilt, Lockbox, CSAT, and Recovery Solutions.

As a collector in the Open Bankruptcy Department I gained an in depth knowledge of bankruptcy law and used this to protect Honda’s best interest while serving the customer to the best of my ability. As an Open Collector I worked hard, helped other collectors with their work, was courteous to customers, and had exemplary audit scores.
