Harris Corporation - Deep Space Network Operations, Monrovia, CA 2002 – 2017 Network Operations Project Engineer/Analyst

Planned and executed Network Operations support for NASA JPL and non-JPL Satellite missions that included Deep Space Network (DSN) Ground Systems and Network preparations, coordination of operations support for critical activities and personnel, conducting appropriate Ground Data Systems (GDS) Testing, coordinated and implemented training to ensure Network operational readiness.

Directed DSN Level 1 pre-launch, launch, and initial acquisition support for NASA Missions: Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellite 13 (GOES-13), Dawn, Juno, Mars Atmosphere and Volatile Evolution Mission

(MAVEN), and Magnetospheric Multiscale (MMS) 1-4, Tracking Data & Relay Satellite J (TDRS-10) and the Spitzer Space Telescope (formerly the Space Infrared Telescope Facility).

Functioned as Technical Consultant, conduct technical studies, provide recommendations; address Flight/Ground Operations issues and anomalies.

Managed Network Operations and telecommunications technical support as Technical Expert on RF telecommunication link analysis; performed specialized analysis resulting in recommendations for optimizing Uplink and Downlink telecommunication links for four non-launch missions: Dawn Vesta Encounter, Dawn Ceres Encounter, Juno Earth Fly-By, and New Horizons Spacecraft Pluto Encounter.

Conducted RF telecommunication link analysis utilizing the CEP (Critical Event Plan) analysis software resulting in Uplink and Downlink telecommunication optimization.
