- Collect and manage hazardous waste throughout the plant. ( manufacturing and plating waste)
- Maintain inventory and arrange pickup of collected waste processed by outside vendor. This includes signing and filing of manifests for “cradle to grave” traceabilty.
- Loading all hazardous waste for outside processing.
- Possess and comply to Hazwopper, TDOT, and EPA training and certification.
- Determine and label Hazardous and/or Non-hazardous waste. Chemical Inventory:
- Manage, order, and inventory all chemicals for plating process lines, waste water treatment system and laboratory.
- Track and manage shelf life of chemicals.
- Load and unload all incoming and outgoing shipments of plating process chemicals. Chemical Processing/Lab Analysis:
- Manage and maintain chemical analysis of all plating lines.
- Perform daily and weekly titrations of alkaline cleaners, strong acids, and proprietary/commodity solutions on plating lines.
- Calculate and build new process tanks as needed.
- Maintain plating chemistry parameters within in range of manufacturers technical data sheet.
(perform titrations, calculate addition, and generate addition request) Tank Maintenance:
- Clean and passivate Electroless Nickel tank as needed.
- Dump and rebuild cleaners and process tanks as required.
- Plumbing needs as necessary.
Waste Water Treatment:
- Responsible for the treatment of all water used throughout manufacturing and plating.
- Run filter press. (generate, label, and overersee haul off of cake/sludge.
- Conduct Bi- weekly testing for compliance to discharge permit.
- Make daily adds to treatment chemistry.
- Calibrate PH probes/meters daily.
- Adjust flow of treatment chemical to maintain efficient and effective treatment.
- Control of PH, effluent ( flow), compliance, and system control logs. (maintain for record) Purchasing:
- Generate, submit, and place purchase orders for chemicals, equipment, tools, etc. Manager/Driver
