Dear Sir/Madam:
In response to your job posting, attached please find my resume. I have many years of progressive credit experience managing domestic and international accounts and protecting the quality of receivables through establishment of robust credit and financial controls. As the head of the Credit Department, I have served as the leading authority on risk evaluation of customers and their risk profiles while providing objective advice to management in regard to credit problems, emerging economic, market and credit risk issues as they impact the business. I have worked with all of the relevant functions within the corporation, including Sales, Accounting, Finance, Manufacturing, and Installation, to promote revenues and insure timely collection and DSO reduction. I am experienced with establishing credit and risk guidelines, setting customer credit limits, recommending bad debt reserves, and managing overall customer exposure.
My background includes billions of dollars of transaction experience across the entire spectrum of the capital markets including secured and unsecured senior debt, high yield and subordinated debt, and preferred and common equity. I have also financed the entire supply chain from sale and factoring of AR, to asset based lending and extending payables. I am knowledgeable with bank reconciliations, business accounting, cash management and other treasury functions. I have worked directly with customers at the CFO level to maintain relations during collection and recovery and to ensure customer confidentiality. I have designed credit structures beyond 30 days terms as well as longer term repayment plans. I have years of legal and negotiating training including loan documentation, lending terms and conditions, contract law, collateral and lien law (UCC code), bankruptcy, and workouts. I am formally credit trained and am experience with commercial and investment banking.
I have managed and supervised up to 25 people, providing development, training, supervision, evaluation, and management oversight of credit and risk management. I have researched accounting and risk management issues to ensure compliance with accounting, Sarbanes Oxley and best practices, and presented these findings to senior management. I am extremely competent with all Microsoft software and I have had exposure to SAP, Oracle, and other enterprise software.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Very truly yours,
Frank J. Izzo
