BACKGROUND

-Experienced software/hardware tester seeking a position in technical field.

EXPERIENCE

Product Tester. Qualcomm Inc. (Manpower) Mar. 2016 – Septemper. 2017

-Support PE with performing RF Qual. measurements of Qualcomm transceiver chips, on ATE environment and process results. These tests include HTOL, ESD among other stress testing.

-Process the measurement data using statistical techniques.

-Create Test instructions daily based on specification and test scripts provided by PE.

-Work with test operators to ensure proper instructions are followed and measurement data are valid.

-Use ATE testers including Teradyne U-flex to perform Quality measurements.

-Perform Synth measurement on bench setup: GSM,C/W/TC,LTE.

- RX VCO (Open loop phase noise, Temperature drift)

- RX PLL (Phase noise, Settling time)

-Experienced working high volume production environment.

RF Engineer, Support. Qualcomm Inc. (Manpower) Mar. 2015 – April. 2016

Supported the Customer Engineering Hardware Applications group with RF and system level related tasks.

-Created RF Data packages. Used Qmine tool to convert RF measurements (data and charts previously collected by Product Engineers) and create PowerPoint. Evaluated data to ensure passing and within specification. Worked with the RF test team to discuss failed issues and locating passing retested measurements. Followed the 3GPP specification to put all the test measurements into organized and complete data package in PPT format 1000 pages or more. Worked with the Technical Writer team with final touches and release the completed data package to Agile Product Lifecycle Management data base for Customer use and reference. (Task became automated by Nov 2015 and moved to the next Task)

-Supported Applications Engineers with schematic creation of smart phones/devices using Mentor Graphics xDX Designer. Schematic for the complete system level designs were created/updated specific to each customer and target region using Qualcomm ICs.

-Participated in RF Schematic design reviews and kept track of each customer schematic focusing on the RF Front End (everything within the Transceiver and Antennas). Tracked design of all current/previous models. Kept track of complete Front End design including the supporting RF technologies, the frequency bands, and number of ports used, ICs and components such as PAs, LNAs, filters, switches, antennas.

-Participated in PCB level design reviews to support Engineers by driving the PCB layout tools.

(Reason for leaving: Department downsized and all contractors in Customer Engineering were let go)

RF Product Test Technician. Qualcomm Inc. (Manpower) Jul. 2013 – Sep. 2014

Supported the Product Test Engineering group with RF IC measurement collection.

-Analyzed hardware and software, debugged, troubleshot to component level.

-Used test equipment such as scopes, power meters, signal generators, spectrum and network analyzers to perform RF measurements.

-Diagnosed and fixed test setups.

-Familiar with high volume production testing techniques.

-Able to work under pressure to meet product deadlines.

(Reason for leaving: Had a Surgery and was out for over a month.)

Field Test Engineer. QZ Labs. March 2013 – May 2013

Field testing to measure over the air signal between Antennas (cellular network).

-CDMA: RF Performance, Signaling conformance, GPS, Data Throughput, Messaging.

-UMTS: Carrier Acceptance testing.

Mobile Application testing: Mobile Features.

-Testing Tools: QXDM (Qualcomm Extensible Diagnostic Monitor), QCAT.

(Reason for leaving: Could not travel around the country at the time due to family situation)

Civilian contractor. (Overseas) IMS. Feb. 2007- Nov.2012

-Worked as a civilian contractor overseas to support “Mission Enduring Freedom”

(Reason for leaving: Got married)

Software Test Engineer. Sony Electronics. May 2006 – Feb.2007

Responsible for the software test effort for TV products.

-Performed and coordinated manual, functional, GUI, system-level, regression and stress testing.

-Tested to Human Interface specifications, test cases and also perform exploratory type testing.

-Was responsible for finding, reproducing, reporting and verifying defects found.

(Reason for leaving: Decided to work overseas)

Software Tester. Delta Design. Feb. 2005 – May.2006

Responsible for the embedded system software test effort for the Delta Design pick and place handlers (Delta Edge) which tests microprocessor silicon chips.

-Debugged the software and hardware embedded systems including sensors, and motors with respect to software controllers from GUI.

-Perform and coordinate manual, functional, GUI, system-level, regression and stress testing.

-Responsible for finding, reproducing, reporting and verifying defects found.

-Performed software verification and test interface communication. Analyze the problem of Controller and solve it. Build feature test for controller.

(Reason for leaving: Found an Engineering job at Sony corporation)

Maintenance Tech. Sony Electronics. Aug. 2004 – Jan. 2005

Assisted the Electrical Engineer on updating and maintenance of machineries.

-Conducted preventive and corrective maintenance of production machines: Daily trouble shooting of mechanical, electrical and electronic systems faults with regular use of schematics.

-Fixed or replaced both electrical and mechanical components such as control relays, electromechanical limit switches, proximity switches, sensors, etc.

-Assisted the electrical engineer by making updates to the “Ladder Logic” programs (Allen Bradley PLC and Omron) for Fanuc robot, conveyer lines, and all other I/O systems.

(Reason for leaving: Department Shut down, end of “tube television” production)

Software/Hardware Tools familiar with.

-PCB Layout viewer: Pollex, PADS, VisECAD, Allegro.

-Schematic: OrCAD Capture, Xpedition xDX Designer.

-Diagnostic tools: QXDM, QCAT, Qmine, Lab View.

-Lab Equipment: Spectrum Analyzer, Signal Generator, Oscilloscope, Digital Multi-Meter.
