Accomplished career with heavy emphasis in the real estate area including construction loans and commercial real estate credits. Highlights include starting and successfully building a new Korean American community bank, Liberty Bank of New York, which was headquartered in New York City. I held the position of chief lender and credit officer where our market area also included Northern NJ. While at HSBC/Marine Midland Bank, I functioned as head of the New Jersey – Loan Production Office for real estate and corporate lending. My entire career has been as a lender for all types of real estate loans, including corporate credits.

Walden Savings Bank 2014 - present

Retained as a loan workout consultant for middle market corporate credits. To date reduced problem loans from $15 million to $3 million.

Wawel Bank 2010 - 2013

Initial consulting position was to focus on construction credits and commercial real estate credits that were problematic for the Bank. Made excellent progress in resolving impaired real estate credits. Later, the CEO requested that focus be brought on another internal problem area for compliance as an assignment. Previous industry experience in lending, credit administration and related areas, including a broad range of knowledge to provide banking assistance.

Financial Regulatory Consulting (FRC) 2008 – 2010

Previously, a senior consultant to the banking industry, specializing in compliance, risk management and asset recovery at various institutions with real estate credit and commercial loan issues. Reviewed real estate loan portfolios for various clients including large NYSE entities and community banks for asset quality and compliance with regard to regulatory standards.
