Professional Experience
Mr. Stillman worked on projects at two locations for Wyeth Pharmaceutical, Rouses Point and Chazy New York plants. His duties as Project/Construction Manager, issuing specifications and drawings for bids, hiring contractors for the projects, monitored all contractors and project work on a daily basis. Construction weekly construction and safety meetings with contractors, advised customer on all phases of work (daily and monthly reports. Followed required codes and proper safety regulations imposed by Wyeth Pharmaceutical, Federal Drug Administration and OSHA.
Relevant projects Mr. Stillman has been involved include:
Project/Construction Manager-Town of Troupsburg, Steuben County, New York-Wastewater Collection and Treatment Facility-this project includes preparation of preliminary engineering report and design of a new wastewater collection system would serve approximately 100EDU’s, Jasper-Troupsburg Elementary School, and various government customers in the Hamlet. The study evaluated the existing sewage conditions and possible alternatives for a new system. Alternatives included conventional gravity system vs. septic tank effluent gravity as well as various wastewater treatment methods. Based on costs and non-monetary criteria, a conventional system and Rotating Biological Contractor (RBC) treatment plant with intermittent tertiary filter was selected. Design was completed and reviewed by DEC. The project was financed by HUD, ARC, USDA rural Development and the NYS CWSF. The project cost was 1.96 million.
Wyeth Animal Research, Chazy, New York-Project/Construction Manager-Compared existing drawings of hot and water domestic water to existing piping conditions in the plant. Hot and cold lines were changed out from PVC to Orbital welded stainless steel piping and upgrades on valves and fittings. Replaced piping in ceiling, walls and floors, new fire suppression system installed. Worked with company supervisors within prescribed time frame to have work done on time, adhered to strict schedule that required days, evenings and weekend for timely completion. Bio-hazard safety training required and use of personal protection equipment were required in much of the areas for the work. Project cost $245,000
Wyeth Pharmaceutical Chemical Development Building, Rouses Point, New York-Project/Construction Manager for (4) new and refurbished laboratories. Worked with designer, engineers and scientists employed both by Sear-Brown-Sikorski and Wyeth Pharmaceutical to create new and remodeling of existing offices and laboratories. Process piping (natural gas, nitrogen, helium, compressed air, and vacuum lines) emergency shower/eyewash stations, fire suppression, new and relocated floor drains. Electrical serve, lighting, air handler unit the duct work, inline duct heaters with exhaust fans, masonry work and acid brick. Ordering and installing special equipment and furniture, scale hoods fume hoods, etc. Project cost $85,000 to $300,000 per project.
Wyeth Pharmaceutical, Rouses Point, New York-Project/Construction Manager for 100’X120’building for Water for Injection (WFI) building and custom equipment, issuing notice for bid’s, awarding of bid’s, coordinating with engineering/design and support team’s to issue 3D AutoCAD drawings and specification’s building, plumbing, process piping and electrical systems to serve all of Wyeth Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Plant in three distribution phases. Contacting and meeting with business that could produce custom equipment as needed. Excavating of ground for new building, installation of sanitary lines, floor drains, fire suppression systems, pouring concrete pad. Construction of structural steel building, with metal skin and masonry exterior. Installation of air Handles with duct work, ceiling heaters. Electrical installation of motor control center (MCC), ceiling lights. Variable Frequency Drives (FVD’s). Process piping, installation for (2) water metering skid’s, (2) carbon filter skid’s, (2) multi-media skid’s. (2) reverse-osmoses skids, (2) ambient stills, (2) 20,000 gallon storage tanks, all piped with orbital welded stainless steel. Project cost $33 million.
Robert Abraham’s & Associates, Middletown, New York-Project/Construction Manager for complete renovation of a 110.000 sq. ft. mini mall (strip mall) demo electrical serves for new, changing out all windows, reworked all masonry walls and floor (poured new floor if needed) installed all new restroom (handicapped accessible), Sheet rock all, complete paint and paper interior as well as exterior, added new restaurant with all utilities, repaved parking lot, new roof (shingles, rubber membrane), floor covering (carpeting, vinyl and ceramic tiles), fire suppression and alarm system’s. Project cost $350,000.
Corning Incorporated. Corning New York-worked on a number of projects involving process piping for equipment installation, machine design, plumbing.
