Roles & Responsibilities :

MOVING VEHICLE DETECTION FOR ADAS:

I developed and implemented algorithm in MATLAB for feature based detection of moving vehicle from the video captured from monocular camera placed in a moving vehicle for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).

WAVELET BASED ANALYSIS OF TIME SERIES DATA:

I developed and implemented algorithm in Python for wavelet based analysis of time series data by extracting the low and high frequency components from the data using wavelet decomposition at various levels.

DATA CLUSTERING:

I developed Markov model based clustering algorithm in Python for streaming data by implementing Nearest Neighbor Threshold (TNN) clustering algorithm and temporal relationship among clusters for data streams (TRACDS).

MULTILEVEL MODELING:

I developed algorithm in Python for estimating the fixed and random effect parameters by implementing Generalized Least Square and Kalman Filter respectively for multilevel data.

TREND ANALYSIS OF DATA:

I developed algorithms in Python by implementing the methods like moving average and weighted moving average of order n which eliminates the unwanted fluctuations and smooth out irregular variations in the data.

DIMENSIONALITY REDUCTION OF DATA:

I developed algorithm in Python for data reduction by implementing the dimensionality reduction algorithm like Principal Component Analysis (PCA) for higher dimensional data.

IMAGE OBJECT DETECTION ALGORITHM DEVELOPMENT:

I developed and implemented algorithms in MATLAB for crater detection using segmentation techniques (Hough Transform, Watershed Segmentation, Wavelet Transform etc.) on image and Digital Elevation Model (DEM) of Lunar surface.

SHAPE DESCRIPTOR ALGORITHM DEVELOPMENT:

I developed and implemented algorithm in MATLAB for crater shape (circularity) and size (diameter) measurement in an image using moment measurement technique.

IMPACT CRATER MODELING:

I developed and implemented the impact cratering phenomena in MATLAB which describes the size of a crater resulting from the impact of a projectile of a given size, mass, velocity and angle.

SYSTEM CALCULATION FOR RADAR SYSTEM:

I did the mathematical computation for ground based 2-D radar using MATLAB to get various radar parameters (configurations) like range, range resolution, cross range resolution azimuth, azimuth resolution, scan time, hits per scan, dwell time, doppler resolution, radar’s line of sight (LOS), free space path loss, number of bins, range cells, azimuth change pulse(ACP), range bias error etc.

TESTING OF RADAR DATA PROCESSOR (RDP):

Black Box testing for RDP of 2-D Radar related to the Track Initiation, Track Updation, Track Deletion, Maneuver Following, Track Association and Secondary Radar Data Association by replaying the logged files, was performed by me and assisted in bug fixing and maintenance.

TARGET SIMULATION FOR TESTING OF GROUND BASED RADARS:

Target simulation based on mathematical models (steady state maneuvering, speed maneuvering, climb maneuvering, heading maneuvering, heading with climb maneuvering, speed and heading with climb maneuvering etc.) were performed using MATLAB for testing scenarios.

RADAR DATA ANALYSIS:

Data extraction for 2-D Radar using MATLAB to get various radar data parameters (range, azimuth, speed, heading, range rate etc.) from logged data to check the performance of RDP, were performed by me.

EXTRACTION OF GPS DATA AND ANALYSIS:

Extraction of GPS data from Aircraft Sortie and analysis with radar recorded data in MATLAB for 3-D Radar to compare the accuracy of various radar parameters viz range, azimuth, speed, height.

NEAREST NEIGHBOUR SEARCHING IN SPATIO-TEMPORAL DATA:

I developed and implemented the nearest neighbour (KNN) based searching algorithm in MATLAB for spatio-temporal data for moving objects.

UDP SETUP FOR ONLINE DATA ANALYSIS:

I established communication setup between two machines with the help of user datagram protocol (UDP) in MATLAB for transferring the radar data in files for the online data analysis in GUI based display.

GUI BASED DISPLAY FOR OFF-LINE DATA ANALYSIS:

I developed display software in MATLAB for 3-D Radar which is used to show primary radar data (plots) and secondary radar data and tracks for off line analysis of radar data.

SIMULATION FOR ANTENNA RADIATION PATTERN:

I was involved in the parameter calculation for the radiation pattern for a phased array antenna and also performed simulation for it and plotted the results in MATLAB.

ANTENNA TESTING FOR GPR USING NETWORK ANALYZER:

Testing of the performance of UWB antennas (strength of reflected signal in terms of amplitude and phase shifting) for ground penetrating radar (GPR) using two port network analyzer and capturing continuous time data from network analyzer and plotting that data for visualizing into MATLAB.

RADAR TRACKING METHODS:

I studied methods viz. sequential lobing, conical scan and monopulse tracking for angle tracking. I also studied the methods viz single target tracking (STT) based on split gate range tracker(gate formation, termination) and measurement of tracking filter and multiple target tracking for TWS Radar (based on Track correlation, Track association with Munkre’s Algorithm, gate formation and termination and measurements of Tracking filter) for range tracking.

KALMAN FILTER DESIGN FOR RANGE AND VELOCITY TRACKING:

I studied about constant velocity (C-V) model, constant acceleration (C-A) model for target tracking in 1-D motion and then designed Kalman filter in MATLAB for updating the track based on the prediction / estimation of position (range), velocity and acceleration of maneuvering targets using laws of projectile motion for improvement in RDP of a ground based 2-D Radar.

MULTIPATH CHANNEL FADING:

I studied about multipath channel fading and visualization of the characteristics of the transmitted signal in multipath channels for the wireless communication for the purpose of networking of Radars.
