I have a long history in Data Analytics, beginning in college as an intern at a manufacturing facility where data were compiled from very early sensor devices where optimization of business and manufacturing processes were obtained. This led me to join the company and eventually become Operations Manager.

Since then I have worked on numerous Data Analytics projects in a variety of industries including Insurance, Legal, Financial, Retail, and Healthcare.

In Healthcare, I wrote interfaces to reference laboratory test results systems for reporting of patient lab tests and for deposit into data warehouses, from which analytics were performed. I wrote the first 3rd party interface in the nation, with Laboratory Corporation of America, a.k.a. LabCorp, in 1997 in a primitive ASTM spec, and then in HL7, and further developed interfaces for data reporting and analytics with Quest Diagnostics, AmeriPath, OncoDiagnostics and numerous specialty labs, as well as numerous hospital lab systems, commercial and "home grown". Almost all these were using MS SQL Server, however some used Oracle, DB2 and Teradata.

Most recently, with CA Technologies, I have been consulting with companies on implementing Data Warehouses using Big Data NoSQL platforms including Hadoop Hive, MongoDB, Microsoft Azure and have worked with prospective and existing customers on Data Modeling in Big Data in these environments in documenting ETL/ELT, in interfacing with a variety of tools supporting these functions, including Informatica, Talend, SSIS, Tableau using interface tools from vendors like MITI (Meta Integration Technologies) for cross platform data exchange and Metadata management.
