We removed and reinstalled non operating mechanical and electrical types of equipment and their interconnections, fabricated and installed new ones. Reinforced structures and civil works, remove and installed new ones. Some of our main mechanical equipment are pumps, heat exchangers, water treatment plants, distillation towers, slop and drum tanks, compressors, and others. The following are the main activities I performed:

* Checking contracts, technical specifications, standards, engineering, and design drawings.

* Estimating execution work quantities and work packages, including the prices for each activity (scope and budget).

* Elaborating the execution plan and control for the project.

* Material requesting plan and control.

* Establishing reports guidelines (man-hours, equipment, and different kind of production progress).

* Monthly bill of quantity for the company pays.

TECNICAS REUNIDAS S.A. / MAY 2016 – OCTOBER 2017 / LIMA, PERU

PLANNING AND PRODUCTION CONTROL ENGINEER

Project: Talara Expansion Oil Refinery (4.2 billion USD)

Planning and monitoring the progress for the fabrication of the spools and supports, from the workshops in the city of Lima to the job site (refinery) in the city of Talara. With an approximate scope of 1,100,000 inches we fabricated 50,000 spools, from 2 to 24 inches in CS, SS, alloy and other special materials. With a performance of 300 spools / per week. The followings were the main activities performed:

PCA activities: Creating isometric in the system, spooling, take off (traceability between joints, supports, and materials), updating progress and new revisions of isometrics and P&IDs, welding, Qa/QC,testpacks, and others.

Reports: Daily, weekly, monthly, and forecast for 6 months ahead. All reports related to inches welded, tons of supports fabricated, square and linear meters painted, amount of spools fabricated and dispatched to the job site, updating work front, material status, engineering status, priorities, QA/QC reports, manpower (labor & non labor), and others.

Preparing the certifications (payments) for the contractors monthly, according to contract provisions and the approved production.

Evaluating our contractors offers, to adjudicate them scope (cost Vs benefits analysis).

Meetings and constant communication with our colleges in the workshop and job site, also client and

subcontratctors.

Another important function was to establish guidelines for the contractors, to obtain a final input in

PCA efficiently and at the same time a synchronized language in both databases.

ACP / JANUARY 2016 – MAY 2016 / DIFFERENT CITIES, COLOMBIA

PROJECT CONTROL ENGINEER

Responsible for all mechanical projects, such as storage tanks (fuel oil and gasoline), fire protection system,

KAESER air compressed systems using smart pipe (in mining, manufactures, and others), and maintenance for

gas station facilities. During my time is this company we performed the following works:

Engineering and calculations for different projects.

Preparing proposals for different projects (planning, scheduling, assigning resources and estimating

cost).

Supervising the execution in the job sites and final approvement with our clients.

Preparing the bill of quantities to request payments to our clients.

CHICAGO BRIDGE & IRON (CB&I) / MARCH 2014 – APRIL 2015 / CARTAGENA, COLOMBIA

PROJECT CONTROL ENGINEER

Project: Cartagena Expansion Oil Refinery (8.2 billion USD)

The work was performed in the Tank Farm of the job site: Units 141 and 146 (Green Field, Brown Field and

LPG areas, including the flare and the drums). For the interconnection between 72 cylindrical tanks, 18

spherical tanks, 14 large tanks (LPG) and 18 pumping stations (76 pumps). We erected (construction)

approximately 475 000 ft. Of pipe from 3/4 to 72 inches, of which 170 000 ft. were straight pipe and the

remaining were spools (9800 spools erected). Also, the hydro testing, reinstatements, and walkdowns with

the client. Please find below the list of my functions:

The Unit 141 (Greenfield tanks, drums, and the flare) was closing construction phase, so I was

assigned to play a role as Surveyor Quantity, to verify physically with the work packages (isometrics

and P&IDs) all the pending and requirements, also the real status of the erection in our scope of work,

including the advance of the other disciplines that could hold our production. At the same time,

double-checking the supervisor’s daily reports on site. Subsequently I was moved to the brownfield

and LPG areas with the same role (unit 146).

As a consequence of the above, we decided to create a parallel database (using Microsoft Office

Excel), to keep the detailed real progress and pending of our Works. Also, to not affect our financial

and other reports. After this, we received a group of 10 supervisors for Surveyor Quantities / Punch

List) to support us with this job, and to obtain a balance between CB&I database (SITEPRO) and our

new database. It was a strategy to control our work, we could add more detailed information about our

status in all the phases of the work and take better decisions.

Then I started to play a role as Project Control: Planning, monitoring and updating the progress,

generating reports, seeking work front on the job site (civil, structural, electrical, material, painting,

etc.), requesting and delivering materials, and deploying labors & non labors around the site.

After finishing the erection/construction phase we started to use the same approach for the hydrostatic

test, the reinstatements and the walkdowns with the client (using WinPCS software tool).

Also, the construction of the respective powerhouse and other facilities, including the fire protection system.

This Project includes the erection of compressors, pump stations, storage tanks and control panels, cable trays,

Participation in the master plan (Schedule, Budget, Man Power and the activities necessary for

the objectives).

Supervising the progress on-site according to the design and their changes (for mechanical, civil,

structures, electrical and instrumentation Works). In many cases, it needed to modify the design for

engineering, financial, construction and operational reasons.

I also performed operational activities, such as overhaul (major maintenance) on two power generators diesel

engines (MIRRLESS BLACKSTONE 9.6 MW and EMD 2 .1 MW) for 8 months, including corrective,
