SUMMARY

Jon is an experienced Software Quality Assurance / Test Engineering professional with 20+ years under his belt.

He loves what he does and strives for methods that help in his ability to provide accurate results and analyses giving product stake holders confidence in the state of a given a project.

Communication is key with Jon. Everything he does supports that. Jon is proficient at report production and presentation of analysis regarding defect trends and other information that provides team insight towards improving development processes and project achievement.

Test automation as taught in the SAFe agile methods Jon has learned is a useful tool in this regard. But not the only one. Jon has helped develop test automation frameworks most recently using Selenium/Selenium Web Driver, Cucumber/Maven, and Jasmine/JavaScript.

Jon feels that automated software testing can increase the depth and scope of tests to help improve software quality. Therefore, lengthy tests that are often avoided during manual testing can be run unattended. An added benefit if designed correctly, automated tests can even be run on multiple computers with different configurations.

However, once automation has been run and analyzed, testing doesn’t stop there. In fact, for Jon that means it’s only really begun. Exploratory testing is primarily Jon’s key to success because automation although necessary cannot predict, suggest or refine testing efforts.

In summary, Jon is looking for a role where he can concentrate his innovative style of thinking and agile testing efforts as a valued member of a progressive software development team.
