I am currently working as a Nanny full time for one child while going to South Western Illinois college online where I am taking Fitness and wellness courses and am now working to get my EMS Lisence in classroom.
I have been volunteering with the Red Cross for the last 7 months as a Disaster Action Team member. We work as 2nd Responders Mainly with the Fire departments in St. Clair county responding to the aid of individuals whom have had a fire.. Providing relief if they have been displaced from their homes. As a volunteer I also have worked a relief effort during the 2015 floods in Missouri and Illinois. We respond during natural disasters or storm damage and also work educating people what to do during disasters.
My most recent work was for Eckerts farms. I worked in customer service and retail at the Milstadt Fun farms. I worked at the entrance as cashier and check in for hundreds of people paying and entering the farms attractions. I also worked at the Apple Barn as cashier for pumpkin and apple pickers by the hundreds and at the country store as stocker and cashier. I was trained to be flexible and run all positions. It was a fast paces fun but crazy hectic seasonal job.
My work in the spring of 2015 was as an aid for an elderly lady in the rehabilitation center in Belleville. I spent 4 months with her on a day to day visiting basis making sure all her medical needs and cosmetic needs were being met since the family lived 3 hour away and couldn’t be there on a constant basis. I kept note of her needs and worked as a liaison between the family and the nursing staff at the center to make sure she was given the best of care. I made friends with the family and found it a rewarding learning experience as well as a bond with a new family.
I worked from 2011 to 2014 with a being a babysitter/ nanny for a family with 2 young children that had been through a tragedy where the woman’s husband and two middle children were killed in a hiking accident. I was there on a weekly basis helping care for the children as well as housekeeping, yard work with my sons and keeping up with the animals and equipment for outside work. I worked with each of them as well as the family as a whole to regain a stability and to come together as a functioning family again. I worked with the children so the Mother could receive counseling. I have references from Ms. Decareaux which were actually written about in her newly published Book “From Here to Heaven” which is a tribute to her late family as well as a healing tool and project and now an amazing accomplishment. It was extremely rewarding seeing them recover and doing well again. It was also a friendship that will be ongoing throughout our lifetime.
I have had many years working and volunteering in the Public School System as well as homeschooling my children. I was in the USAF for 4years and 2 months and then went on to work in preschools, elementary schools, and Junior Highs as an aid or assistant teacher. I have had 2 years retail experience and am eager to work and learn new things.
Career Highlights
I worked in the USAF for 4 plus years where I won the John Levitow award for distinguished leadership training. I worked as a supply clerk in inventory and distribution. After my daughter turned preschool age, I enjoyed the opportunity of working as a substitute teacher in an Okinawan Preschool on Camp Lester Navy Base, Okinawa Japan.
I volunteered in the classrooms and libraries 5 years and gained lots of experience working with children and also the inner workings of the Public Libraries. I have homeschooled my children over 8 years which has been rewarding and enhanced my classroom knowledge and abilities as well as my childrens. I was priveledged to work at Fulton Junior High in a Blue Ribbon rating as a Noon hour Supervisor. Each of these jobs have led me to become experienced at public relations with student, teacher and parents as well.

Additional Information
I have been involved in many community service projects, such as the most recent in 2012/2013 I helped in the restoration of a building in E. St. Louis to establish the Church of Christ congregation. They practice non-denominational teaching and outreach to the community around that area.
I worked helping store, and package items to go to our mission in Honduras.
My family helped on our friends Eagle Scout project to build a picnic area for our Church congregation in Fairview Heights, Il.
I love volunteering at Alini After School program teaching students Bible Lessons.
One volunteer position I was also very proud to be a part of was being a key Spouse on Scott AFB to help families of deployed members cope with day to day tasks or questions or concerns.
