JOB DESCRIPTION
To organize diet counseling of the indoor patients and their attendants for healthy eating on the basis of their medical background.
Preparing the Enteral and Parentral Nutrition for critical (ICU& ICCU) Patient.
Providing health advice and promoting healthy eating for NCP (nutrition care plan).
To individualize nutritional requirements with initial metabolic, biochemical & clinical assessment.
To help each patient understand the importance of good nutritional status through consumption and portion size of the food.
To taste the food before it is served to patient.
Nutritional assessment and screening of the patient within 24 hours of admission.
Ward rounds once in a day and collects the patient’s history with doctors and accordingly will modify the diet, discussing their dietary problem and give them advice.
Planning the Ketogenic Diet.
Preparing the Nutritional Recipes for diet for Malnutrition and Underweight patients.
To train and evaluate the interns.
Supervision of Patients diet and to support in controlling the cost of the department.
Weight Management for Obese people.
To keep track of the progress of a patient & change the diet chart accordingly.
To maintain the records for external and internal audit.
Co-Ordinate with Ministry Dieticians in regards to the patient.
To check for hygiene (HSE) compliances in the kitchen and develop cyclic menu for IPD in consultation with chef.
