Graduate Lab Assistant, Mechanical Engineering Department Wright State University 05/2015 08/2015

Performed 30 tests successfully on Aluminum alloys under high vacuum, temperature and constant strain rate

using high vacuum compression testing machine.

Filtered result data for reducing the furnace noise using MATLAB.

Repaired high precision mechanical vacuum pump including its disassembly, maintenance and assembly.

MECHANICAL ENGINEERING PROJECTS:

Structural Reliability: Reliability Analysis of a Unit cell of a structural lattice 01/2016 04/2016

Designed using SOLIDWORKS, Performed Monte-Carlo simulation using MATLAB and linked with ANSYS.

Found the probability of failure for 1 million samples by varying random variables.

Validated using Hasofer Lind Rackwitz & Fiessler method and Second Order Reliability Method (SORM).

Finite Element Analysis and Method Application Projects: 10/2016 12/2016

Designed and analyzed a bicycle frame using ANSYS taking Factor of Safety into concern.

Varied material and geometry for optimum combination. Validated design using MATLAB program.

For FEM Applications, using finite element solver in MATLAB for working on 1D, 2D and 3D problems using

different element types. Compared with ANSYS to validate results. Worked in a team of 3 using GitHub.

Worked and studied dynamic response using Newark Beta Methods in MATLAB coding.

GE Jet Engine Bracket Topology Optimization: General Electric online challenge 2013 05/2015 08/2015

Optimized a GE Jet engine bracket keeping 3D-printing as the basis of manufacturing.

Used Optistruct as solver. Modelled using SOLIDWORKS and PRO-E.

Meshed, analyzed and optimized topology using HyperMesh satisfying all the conditions provided.

Achieved weight reduction of 53.68% and volume reduction of 53.61%.

Solar Thermal Engineering Project: 03/2015 05/2015

Determined optimum tilt angle for the Solar Flat Plate Collector for collecting maximum solar irradiation for

winter.

For Dayton Ohio, optimum tilt angle was found to be 66o which absorbed 3027.580651 MJ/m2 in winter.

Programmed using MS-Excel to calculate the monthly hourly radiation and the optimum tilt angle.

Assembly and testing of automation of sizing machine: Undergraduate Final semester project 09/2012 12/2012

Assembled the automation system for 1000 bar Press Feeder with help of project guide in the company.

Tested performance as well as production rate by experimenting process.
