Research Experience and skills:

1. I have worked on my dissertation entitled “Effect of Melatonin Administration on Ingestive Behaviour and Metabolism in Fructose Induced Pre-Diabetic and Diabetic Wistar Rats” in which I have studied the effects of intraperitoneal administration of melatonin on the ingestive behaviour and metabolism in fructose-induced prediabetic and diabetic male Wister Albino rats.

2. I have also assisted in a project of my senior entitled “The study of the association of sympathovagal imbalance with cognitive deficit in diabetes”, in which we have observed the P300 as cognition test and Heart rate variability (HRV) for diabetic subject and compared with age matched non diabetic control group.

3. My research activities also include learning various skills like collecting information from patients as a part of data collection in research. 4. Also trained in producing disease models in Wister Albino rats. 5. I have learned the basic research techniques in studying the metabolic and behavioural changes of laboratory animals.

6. I have good expertise in working various computer programmes needed for data entry, analysis like M.S office (Word, Excel and power point) 7. I have also been trained in fundamentals of biostatistics along with analysis of various data using GraphPad software.

8. Besides working in animal models I am also trained in performing and analysing various diagnostic tests in humans like Classical Autonomic Function Tests including Tilt Table Test, Pulmonary Function Test, Exercise stress tests like Tread Mill Testing, Neuro- diagnostic techniques like P300, Visual Evoked Potentials (VEP), Brain Auditory Evoked Potential (BERA), Nerve Conduction Studies (motor and sensory) in our department laboratory.
