Sanofi Pasteur Inspection Department

Ensure the line operates smoothly and adequately perform/complete the inspection of a product in line 6 (vials), 7 (syringes) using different machines and/or procedures such as: Operation of Seidenader SI-30 Line 7, Line 6, Palletizing, BIR Documentation, labeling, Sample collection, Segregation, Manual Inspection, Visual inspection, line clearance, Bench inspection, Basic cleaning/disinfecting L1,2,3.

Qualified operator of LIMS LabWare, SAP, North American TrackWise, and CAPA’s.

Besides Inspection I was one of the few candidates to be chosen to be part of Challenge Set creation and validation team for HMI’s. Being part of the team myself and fellow team members were involved in making challenge sets specifically for each inspection machines “HMI’s”. The team’s responsibility was to keep track of the currently used and extra syringes and vials used in the challenge set which was mainly used to validate the inspection machines. Every time there was a new product or a change in the product the team had to create a set including goods and rejects (part/non-part defects) visually inspect for the individual item to be within the specs allowed as per the SWI and finally gather the whole set and validate the specific set in the HMI that was created for.

Applied Microbiology

Emphasis was placed on industrial pharmaceutical operations (Upstream and Downstream Process). Conducted laboratory testing. Technical and scientific writing was taught. Learned FDA regulations and guidelines. Reviewed and interpreted analysis of data.

Microbiology

Studied microscopic life forms. Learned growth, metabolism, and control of microorganisms. Applied laboratory techniques of isolation, staining, biochemical, characterization and serology. Variety of lab based testing and skills were learned.

Organic Chemistry I & II w/ Lab

Studied structure, nomenclature, preparation, and reactions of organic chemistry. Used modern theories and reaction mechanisms as unifying bases. Laboratory skills were developed in chromatography, crystallization, distillation, extraction, filtration, melting point, and TLC (thing layer chromatography). Learned special equipment handling of infrared spectrometer, gas chromatograph, and UV-Visible spectroscopy.

Seminar I & II

Presented Strigops habroptila also known as Kakapo or Owl Parrot, discussing history, origin, life cycle, extinction and conservation methods.
