I have worked in the capacity as a Safety Manager / Representative for the past 11 years. During my tenure as a Safety Manager, I have been involved in Refinery Shut Downs / upgrades, renovations as well as Heavy Civil scopes of work. Conduct daily project inspections on all contractors at Montague Expressway and South Milpitas Boulevard Improvements, Milpitas BART Station, Milpitas Parking Garage and 5 miles north on guide way observe and report activities and provide documentation to General Contractor SSH JV of current conditions. Attended weekly progress meetings with McCarthy, and OC Jones and VTA. Assisted on tours, and job walks conducted with Safety Managers. Team building and networking with VTA CM for project success. Review and research Incident Reports. Recommendations and action plans to address concerns.

Shell Refinery, Martinez, CA: Night Safety Manager, Permit Co-sign: 03/2016

Intense permit writing training for 5 weeks, Attend daily Safety meeting with management, also attend daily tail gate safety meeting with different companies on different days, implement Shell safety policies along with inspect job site for hazards throughout T/A for ALL contractors mitigated as needed.

Valero Refinery, Benicia, CA: Night Shift Safety Manager: 02/2016

Implementing plant site safety procedures for ALL contractors on turnaround in SGU, ALKY, FCC, H2U, attended management and craft tail gates safety meetings daily, conducted field audits on Cranes, refractory work in confined space, welding on equipment and in weld bay, safety attendants/ hole watch, fresh air jobs being performed through T/A, respond to incidents immediately, daily log on computer for next shift/ turn over.

Hitachi, San Jose CA: Night Shift Safety Supervisor: 07/01/15

Safety Manager during Demolition on Hitachi building 5 with Rudolph & Sletten as General Contractor. Implementation of Safety and Health Regulations, conducted field safety audits during demolition, daily audits, assist with tool box safety meetings daily, institute necessary corrections in company policy and work procedures by advising of OSHA rules and regulations.

2012 - 2014: Safety Manager @ Diamond Refractory Services

Exxon Mobil Refinery, Beaumont, TX: Night Shift Safety Manager: 05/14-06/14

Duties include on night shift for refractory work in confined space in FCCU, implementing site Safety Program during Turnaround work, review of Confined Space permits, performed safety meetings daily, orientation to new craft, entering confined space before craft entered 13 deck structures refract inspect for safe entry

Marathon Petroleum Refinery, Robinson, ILL: Night Shift Safety Manager: 03 /14-04/14

Responsible for 25 craft in Confined Space on 12 hour shifts conducting refractory work, daily tool box meetings, daily audits, investigations for near misses, daily paper work for turnover

Dow Chemical Pittsburg, CA: Day Shift Safety Manager: 03/10-11/12

My duties as a Safety supervisor was implementing of site Safety Program, for field safety during Construction during turnaround, civil work, mechanical and electrical conduits, Confined Space, at different oil refineries during turnarounds also review of permit’s and daily tailgate meetings
