Production of Liquid Sodium Silicate and Activated Carbon from Rice Husk Worked with a group on a delicate process selection for the specified product, carefully taking account the sensitivity of different processes with respect to the criteria, and ensuring its feasibility by making adept market feasibility studies, technical feasibility studies, and financial feasibility studies. The Design focused on turning an agricultural waste into a useful product which has a great demand in the country.
Hydration of Ethylene Oxide for the Production of Ethylene Glycol through Oxidation of Ethylene Considering the industry’s high demand for Ethylene Glycol and making the known process more efficient, was the goal of the design that our group made. We were able to apply the skills that we earned and finished the design which is industry based. Cultivation of Chlorella vulgaris in a Photobioreactor using Light Emitting Diode as Light Source Committed to helping the community to develop a technology that will be able to help people in finding possible sources of renewable energy and to apply that technology in their community. Worked with a group in designing a photobioreactor that can cultivate Chlorella vulgaris (algae) - a source of biodiesel - using LED (Light Emitting Diode) as the light source. Donated the prototype to our chosen beneficiary, Muntinlupa National High school.
Effect of the Addition of a Chelating Agent in Gold Ore Extraction Using Thiosulfate Leaching With Different Interaction Parameters
Was able to work in a group in determining different effecs of parameters in the leaching of gold. The study optimized these parameters to obtain the best solution of Sodium thiosulphate as a cyanide substitute in the leaching of gold. The group was able to work wih different organizations like Mines and GeoSciences and UPChem Society.
