Coordinate all aspects of the Symposia with Feature Editor, Publisher and Production Editor to ensure smooth submission, review, acceptance, proofreading and publication process.

Constant interaction with Publisher & Production Editor regarding scheduling, proofreading, executing and submitting publication lineup accurately and timely, improvements to Journal layout, website updates, promotion of special issues and/or articles.

Successfully executed 7-year contract renewal for the Journal with Lippincott, Williams, Wilkins (LWW) in 2007.

oWorked closely with the Publications Committee Co-Chair, Editor-in-Chief and hired consultant during 2015 contract re-negotiation.

oRepresented Journal where we met the key players of Elsevier to discuss a proposed partnership.

oMany of my suggestions/improvements to the contract were agreed upon, and were incorporated into the new contract.

Responsible for coordinating all aspects of the move from LWW to Elsevier, working closely with both publishers simultaneously.

Worked with Publisher and their design team to create a new interior and exterior design for the Journal. Worked in conjunction with Publisher and their Marketing team to come up with a plan to roll out the Journal to industry, and promotion of same.

Worked with same team to create filler ads for Journal content. Worked with Publisher and their Website team to design and customize new Journal website.

Worked with Publisher and new Production Editor to create Guidelines for Authors, Journal Style Guide, overall workflow design and production criteria for articles.

Implemented new online manuscript submission system in conjunction with use of the manuscript submission system used by LWW. Two systems would be running simultaneously as papers were being processed in both systems.

Constant interaction with the Society for Clinical Investigation’s (SSCI) Executive Director and Committee Chairs to ensure communication is filtered from the Journal’s office to theirs; The AJMS is the official journal for this Society.

Key member of the Society’s Website – responsible for providing content and updating SSCI website.

oInterface with Officers and Committee Chairs to obtain website content.

oWorked with Medical Management (outside vendor) to design and execute new website for the Society, providing new ideas for improvements as the website was being built.

Procured National sponsors for the MDVC for the Northeast and Colorado race series.

Teamed with graphics designer to create all promotional pieces, including ads and special joint-promotional sales pieces for the MDVC series.
