Resume:

Dear Hiring Manager:

I am writing you to express my interest for the position at your company. I am a strong driven person that delivers to complete and addresses projects of high compliance. I have a very strong interest in pursuing a career where I can engage in meaningful work that will impact positively to the society. I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering and a minor in Project Management at the Tecnologica de Bolivar University. I am interested in working on challenging projects at a company where I can apply and improve my professional skills.

I have over 5 years of experience in Construction Projects which had given me an exposure to the construction environment and the safety requirements from OSHA. I have strong computer skills, I am a fast learner, responsible, honest and I can work in a diverse and stressful environment where I have challenged myself to exceed expectations. In addition, over my years of experience I have successfully worked with a multicultural team, which allows me to work seamlessly with different departments within a company. In the future, I see myself at an organization that can offer me a solid career and personal growth.

On the other hand, as you clearly can see in my Resume, there is a gap of my employment because my husband's job relocated us to South Africa, so I had to leave my job in Colombia. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to find a job there due to the difficulties in obtaining a work permit for myself. The time without being employed I have taken advantage and is being very valuable for me to pursuit my education development through my Executive Master in Project Management which will allow me to being fully transitioned and ready to tackle new challenges in your field.

Attached to this letter you will find my resume, where you can review my activities, academic performance and achievements. Furthermore, I have completed relevant courses in Quality Management, Industrial Safety & Occupational Health Systems, Basic principles of a Quality Management System, Environmental Management System, ISO 14001:04 and Microsoft Project 2007, which have facilitated my problem solving and technical skills when needed.

I will appreciate your time in interviewing me and reviewing my qualifications. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or if you need additional information. My phone number is +1-913-***-**** or if you prefer, my email address is ac14hg@r.postjobfree.com. I am looking forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,

María Jimenez
