Project Manager, Global Network Infrastructure (April 2016 – Present) Phoenix, AZ

Accountable for saving the Global Infrastructure organization $4 Million of circuit expenses in 2017; contributed to saving $6 Million of circuit expenses in 2016. Managing the decommission projects from start to end by researching MPLS/GWAN circuits, Legacy circuits, Amex-owned hardware, and Carrier-owned hardware to be decommissioned through auditing flat files of carrier circuits and hardware, updating an inventory management database, verifying monthly recurring costs, checking the status of routers and switches via CA Spectrum, validating information against network diagrams, confirming the decommission has completed, and documenting each step.

Managing the year-to-date savings and reporting details to leadership bi-monthly, recorded by the Global Network Decommissions team within Converged Infrastructure to disconnect circuits and hardware globally including routers, switches, OOB lines, and Carrier-provided network rings, tracked by the team SharePoint site, manually updated on a daily basis to be able to cover the cost of the resources on the team and even out the amount spent on new technology

Auditing the financial inventory and invoicing tools such as Tangoe and Veropath to identify financial expenses and ensure billing has ceased in order to track the team’s savings contribution to the overall organization

Providing monthly-updated Accrual reports that showcase Telecom expenses directly tied to the General Ledger for the Tech Finance team in order to provide up-to-date expenses being billed to the organization’s cost centers

Documented and improved the process document for the decommissions team from the beginning of a project by engaging the customer, gathering information for the project agreement document, researching the circuit and carrier information, submitting a network change, notifying teams of a network decommission, and confirming the service and hardware have ceased billing
