Supplier Quality Engineer
Supplier Quality Engineer for all dishwasher platforms. Responsible for all electronic components, Control Modules, Pumps, Switches, Water Valves, and packaging. (Back-up SQE for all other commodities) As the site ECO/RP Manager, Assigned, Coordinated and Approved all of the Engineering activities involved with releasing products for production, (assemblies and components) for the local (NC) site. Issued approvals to the suppliers as well as other BSH facilities worldwide (typical year = 500 ECO’s)
Selected Accomplishments
Developed and maintained a Supplier Quality monitoring system that allowed Quality & Purchasing personnel to review a rolling 12-month record of the PPM and QZ levels for all 130 Supplies on a monthly basis. Generated a monthly PPM Report that was issued to all “key” and “problematic” suppliers. (~120 Suppliers)
In the duel roll as SQE/RP Manager, developed and maintained systems to approve multiple “new” Suppliers, foreign and domestic, for the largest Product/Platform launch in BSH-USA history. This included developing accurate dimensional inspection procedures, Supplier development, Product Approval (PPAP), and Engineering approvals.
Was assigned as a “Key User” for a worldwide Engineering database release. This involved multiple visits to the BSH Design Center located in Germany. Where, in conjunction with European counterparts, assisted in the development of the requirements needed to support Engineering efforts. As a “Key User” was also responsible for training USA associates in the proper use of the system once launched.
