Administers all medications and completes nursing assessments (CIWA/COWS scale) while monitoring and treating signs and symptoms of withdrawal per protocols intitated from doctor’s orders. Treat clients with co-existing substance abuse and mental health disorders. Uses clinical judgment, educates the clients and discharge planning. Sends clients to seek emergent care via EMS. Educates clients about residential and outpatient care provided accessible to them after detox is complete as well as offers community resources to combat homelessness.
