I have had seven internships, all of which exceed 3 months, adding up to more than 2 years of experiences. My internal consulting internship at Hertz provided me abundant experiences and knowledge in project management and data analytics. It’s a privilege for me to work on projects that touch the core business on a strategic level and therefore require me to think with an organizational strategic perspective. Besides, the highly data-intensive project greatly enhanced my data analytic and reporting skills (pivot, vlookup and Tableau). My project eventually achieved an annual cost saving of $400,000 and management was very satisfied (if you need reference, please let me know).

I also have experiences working at healthcare and manufacturing industry in process improvement function. These experiences enable me to bring the Lean and Six Sigma mentality and approach into the service sector (process excellency). I have achieved amazing result combining Six Sigma and data analytics (statistic, regression, etc.) to increase efficiency and reduce costs. My project at Haartz Inc. increased 30% of production and another project at Reliant Medical Group reduced 10% of resources waste. In addition, my past internship experiences in logistics and supply chain in ZTE Corporation and Hong Yuen Electronics enable me to look operations from the supply chain analytics perspective and practiced my communication and coordination skills with internal and external customers. All my past works were highly communication-intensive and I definitely learned a lot with regard to interpersonal skills and professionalism. Besides, majoring in Operations Analytics and Management gives me the advantage of the quality control knowledge such as Statistical Processes Controls (SPCs), Six-sigma and Lean production. I am also very experienced with business intelligence software such as VBA, Tableau, SQL, Excel (vlookp, pivot), Gurobi(professional optimization program) and Python. Also, working as a research assistant in WPI to research for a refugee protection organization to develop a model to optimize fitness of refugees supply to asylum demand, now I have a very deep understanding in using statistical and programming tools to quantify attributes of supply and demand and optimize the match.
