Roles performed

Perform, supervise and delegate operation and maintenance activities of Power Plant (1 x 35 TPH AFBC Boiler with 1* 4 MW STG) and its auxiliary.

Responsibilities:

Had opportunity to work from commissioning stage and successively carried it to full capacity.

Lead the operations team in handling normal plant operation including Start-ups (i.e. cold, warm, & hot), Shutdowns, Blackout and Tripping.

Monitor the plant operation and handle emergency including shut downs of units and load throw off to control generation as per requirement.

Line up of the units & its auxiliaries; change-over of equipment and routine testing of protection system.

Responsible for Start-up, Shutdown, Normal Operation, Load Management and Handling of Various emergencies during Operation of the Unit.

Given instruction to field operator for safe operation of Power plant.

Hands on Experience of Control Room Operation of Boilers, Steam Turbine and its Auxiliaries through DCS.

Responsible for Manpower Planning for Preventive and Breakdown Maintenance of the Unit.

Responsible for smooth functioning and quality of utilities (water, steam, compressed air, fire fighting system, cooling circuits, heating).

Take emergency equipment trial & restoration of process & equipment.

Performing the functions of troubleshooting and breakdown/preventive/corrective maintenance for reducing downtime to minimum.

Responsible for safe shutdown and advance planning of shutdown jobs like Super-heater tubes, Economiser, APH, ESP, Compressors, Heaters, Chillers, Dampers, Motors, Gear-box & Pump Bearings should be thoroughly checked.

Had opportunity to work from commissioning stage and successively carried it to full capacity.

Responsible for safe start up & shutdown.

Checking the parameters during operation like draughts, fuel consumption, steam consumption, temperature variations and maintain feed water temperature for more efficiency.

Make periodic inspection to see that all equipments & controls are operating properly & are in good condition and maintain consumption and production records.

Line up of the units & its auxiliaries; charge over of equipments, routine testing of protection system and annunciation system.

Handle emergency situations confidently & continuously monitor operating parameters.

Given instruction to field operator for safe operation of Power plant from control room.

Lead the operations team in handling normal plant operation including Start-ups (i.e. cold, warm, & hot), Shutdowns, Blackout and Tripping.

To exercise overall field supervision to ensure that housekeeping is up to the expected standard & the plant is clean.

To handover equipment for maintenance & also takeover of the same after maintenance adopting all safety measures.

To carry out minor maintenance works with the input from superiors, wherever required.

To conduct equipment trial once it is received back from Maintenance & carry out equipment changeovers as required.
