As a PR consultant, Dr. Yee grew the visibility of The Northshore Youth Symphony Orchestra (NYSO), and established a dynamic online- and print-media presence. He also worked with the Board and orchestra on its Annual Fund.


At its height, NYSO was a premiere 501(c)(3) performing arts organization, and celebrated 20 years of performance, education, and community outreach (ceasing operations for 2012). Its 165+ musicians (ages 8-18) from 32 cities/towns in the MA North Shore and Merrimack Valley, and Southern NH comprised 4 orchestra ensembles, wind ensemble, and 3 flute choirs. Major performances, special concerts, and community outreach ("Youth Serving Through Music" & "Thanksgiving Project") took place throughout the year. Major funding was via philanthropic, national, state, and local sources, as well as the Annual Fund.

The Angiogenesis Foundation is world's first and only 501(c)(3) dedicated to promoting and delivering angiogenesis-related medicines in cancer therapy and wound healing/regenerative medicine. Dr. Yee led business development to generate $561,000 in his first 2 quarters ($1.2 million overall)! He also directed education/disease awareness initiatives for patients and their advocates, and oversaw a plethora of unrestricted educational grant funding.

The Foundation was featured on "The Martha Stewart Show" and "The Dr. Oz Show," as well as "Oprah Winfrey." Its stakeholders include pharma/biotech, patients and their advocates, and celebrities like the Grammy-winning band U2! In fact, it is a dedicatee on U2's album "No Line on the Horizon," with the single

"Get On Your Boots" that opened the 2009 Grammy and BRIT Awards. The Foundation is also the subject of a Technology, Entertainment, Design (TED) talk, and a recipient of a Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation grant!

Dr. Yee directed major communications projects in oncology (Novartis), patient-reported outcomes, neurology (Pfizer), and chronic kidney/anemia markets, including those in an $8 billion marketplace (Roche). Moore Communications was a Midtown medical communications firm where Dr. Yee managed high- profile promotional (and patient education) projects for Glaxo in infectious disease (flu/allergy, hepatitis B), digestive health (IBS-D), oncology, and migraine, and Janssen Pharmaceutica in bipolar disorder. He was also program administrator for the Glaxo Institute of Digestive Health (GIDH) that supports scientific research and raises public awareness about digestive health. He led a worldwide PR and media campaign to highlight hepatitis B and disease awareness in Asian and other major population groups. Pall Corporation is the world leader in filtration technology, and manufacturers proprietary filtration, separation and purification products and solutions. Dr. Yee worked and was a leader in biomedical device marketing in N. America/Asia-Pacific Rim in the hematology-oncology, surgery, cardiovascular, anesthesia, and critical care markets. In this role, he gave 120 presentations/year in the field, negotiated major hospital, managed care, and specialty-group contracts (eg, Aetna Healthcare, Sutter Health, Canadian Blood Services), and provided in-house strategic marketing leadership for milestone and transformational projects/initiatives. He also conducted training for regional managers, distributors, affiliates, the American Red Cross, and Pall Asia. He developed media material for stockholders, corporate boards, and executive leadership, and provided a visible "face" of Pall Corporation in N. America and Asia. (In 2012, Haemonetics bought Pall's blood filtration and collection business for $551 million.)
