Repair of all types of electronic systems and equipment, Large multichannel communications systems down to handheld personal radios, military and civilian. computer systems, specialized and off the shelf, PCs, printers, scanners etc. Radar repair, power supplies, battery chargers, copiers, voice and data encryption devices. It was also one of my jobs to lend technical assistance to automotive mechanics with automobile electrical systems, power generation equipment, Environmental control systems and automotive diagnostics systems. I also researched hard to find parts, found and adapted substitutes for parts that were no longer available. Designed and built mounts of all types for equipment fixed and vehicular systems, and fabricated adapters and repair parts using hand, power, and machine tools to work with all types of materials, metal and plastics. I have a great deal of experience with power supplies in most of the aforementioned equipment, from simple linear and small switching power supplies, to large variable high current 500 amp plus, dc to dc converters used often in communications equipment designed to be powered by vehicular systems. And ac to ac, dc to ac solid state converters both syntho sinusoidal and "stair step" used to power ac equipment from dc sources and to power ac equipment from alternate sources i.e. 400 cycle equipment from 60 cycle sources. With a great deal of experience with high voltage dc to dc converters used to power rf power amplifier tubes.
