A Comparison of Residual Shunting Post ASD Closure with Amplatzer and Helex Septal Occluder Devices
A review of the literature to compare the presence of residual shunting following ASD closure with each of the two FDA-approved septal occluder devices, the Amplatzer and Helex. Residual shunting post closure is associated with poorer outcomes and adverse events.
