oManaged approximately 25 technical projects per year which were oriented to implementing new technologies for student benefit such as multi-media classrooms, electronic physical security, and multi-campus LAN/WAN connectivity.

Sales Manager for Radio Shack. Managed all aspects of retail electronics sales location with 12 employees including inventory control, Profit and Loss, expense management, and marketing.

oGrew store volume sales 300% over a 2 year period taking the store from 22nd place in a district of 22 stores to 12th place in the same time period. Achieved Manager of the Month award and also $500,000 Club award for sales in a single year.

Owner/General Manager for Hughes Computing, Ltd. Launched a small business for computer sales, service and training. Managed 5 employees and all aspects of store operations including inventory control, accounting, marketing, sales, training, and customer service.

oImplemented In-Home Training Program for customers which increased return business by 30%.

Senior Network Architect at Avalon Technologies. Established and directed the strategic long term goals, policies and procedures for the company while managing a technical staff of 8 employees. Determined the organization's long-term systems needs and hardware acquisitions to accomplish the organization's business objectives.

oAnalyzed the needs of departments and established priorities for feasibility studies, systems design and implementation to develop new and/or modify the company's information processing systems. Team Builder and Customer Service Oriented Leader

Designed and implemented a Student Help Desk at East Tennessee State University which was the first of its kind at the university. Developed customer service and support standards and procedures for use by a student workforce of approximately 30 to provide a high level of customer service to assist other students with computer issues.

SharePoint Architect at HNTB. Built a team of SharePoint and database support professionals to establish governance, support and design standards for a new intranet. Provided technical leadership of a global team comprised of cross-divisional project teams and internal customers.

Communicated verbally and written to provide high-level customer service for over 150 professional enterprise project clients over the last 10 years establishing standards for customer engagement, documentation and value-added support.

Mentor and Trainer

As SharePoint Architect at HNTB and Rackspace instructed and mentored junior staff in Best Practices for technical and functional design planning, implementation, testing and deployment. Mentored and taught client technologists regarding implementation and maintenance of the technologies involved in various projects.

Technical Instructor at New Horizons Learning Centers. Functioned as primary instructor for multiple technical courses using Microsoft Official Curriculum and in-house developed curriculum. Course topics included Microsoft SQL Server 2005, Windows Server 2003/2008, Windows SharePoint Services 3.0, Office SharePoint Server 2007, Network+, A+, Visual Basic .NET, Transact SQL. Designed and created new instructional materials for multiple courses. Achieved a 10 of 10 student review rating and was awarded Instructor of the Month for two consecutive months.

Computer Technology Instructor at Vatterott College. Was responsible for direct instruction of the Local Area Networks and Advanced Operating Systems classes. Managed the implementation of new curriculum in both classes to better gear toward current market trends and industry needs. These courses were aimed at certification tracks for the Network+ and MCP certifications for Windows 2000 servers and Active Directory management. Developed and implemented a Student Skills Reinforcement program which increased certification exam pass rate by 25%.
