I was working as an Application Support Engineer on one of the biggest MarketMap Analytic Platforms project, which provides services to more than 120 clients. Along with the Application Support Engineer, I have also provided support for MarketMap Energy clients being associate for Data Analysts team. SunGard is one of the leading market data provider. Data related to securities such as Equities and Commodities is received from different global exchanges across the globe.

Clients: Morgan Stanley, Bank of New York Mellon, Merrill Lynch, SAS Institute, Goldman Sachs, International Monetary Fund, European Central Bank, British Petroleum, Wingas GmbH, Repsol Petrol S.A. Role – Application Support/Associate Energy Data Analyst

• Administration of SunGard’s FAME (MarketMap Analytic) database, server and APIs for Java, C#, SQL issues, for the clients located in U.S. and U.K., using BMC Remedy ticketing system

• Resolving clients’ issues in a timely manner, by coordinating with the team in U.S., over the phone or through emails by performing research, local testing; providing excellent solutions, work arounds to the clients

• Ensure the data is available and accessible till the latest business date via above applications by verifying the latest data files received from the data vendors are timely processed on clients’ Energy Servers

• Extract, Transform, Load financial data from time series (FAME) database to the clients’ relational database

• Interaction with data vendors (Platts, Argus, OPIS, ICIS, Spectron, APX etc.) to resolve missing financial data issues and addition of new financial data feeds; interacting with the Account Managers abroad for software licensing issues

• Prepared monthly statistical reports for performance analysis using Excel and BMC Remedy; helped creating financial reports using Jasper by connecting to FAME database ACADEMIC PROJECTS

• Sentiment Analysis on Tweets using Hadoop, Hive: In this project, Tweets about Airlines in the United Kingdom are categorized as positive, negative or neutral and plotted on Google Maps by fetching profile data from Twitter’s global stream using Hadoop. Dashboard with Google Maps was created using PHP, JavaScript.

• Football Mining using Data Mining Techniques, R, Tableau: Implemented Random Forest, KNN, Naïve Bayes and Multinomial Logistic Regression to find out the proportions of outcomes (win, lose or draw) of a football match, using a set of variables representing the actions of each team. Data visualization is done using Tableau.

• Database Management System using Python, MySQL: Created a HTML web page using python for front-end to output and manipulate the data and used MySQL database as back-end for a vehicle rental company.

• Asset Management using JSP, Servlet, Tomcat: Web application helps to maintain records related to assets of the company allocated to employees. Data stored using MySQL.

• Online C-DAC Study-Centre (Website using ASP.Net, MS SQL Server): A website helps the students by providing study material such as video lectures, audio lectures, presentations and e-books. AWARDS AND ACTIVITIES:
