I literally have been doing bookkeeping since high school, then I took it in community college and got my AA Degree. I have been self employed as a bookkeeper, Clean Up Bookkeeping Service, my business has just always moved with me for over 35 years. I had always planned on retiring in this town so I came in my 50's to get set up for my retirement, in Las Vegas. I moved here to stay here, I have no intention of leaving.

I moved here 18 months ago, of course I brought my clients along and did all work with email and fax and then the economy took a nose dive. So now I find myself needing to rethink these next 10 years. So I am looking for an office management/full charge bookkeeper position, I can do anything, I am willing to even accept payroll, a/r or a/p.

I have worked with the same CPA firm for over 35 years, I do all the bookkeeping for all of them and then send to the cpa firm for end of the year taxes. At one point there were 200 monthly clients I handled alone and then referred all my clients to the same CPA to do all the income taxes each year, so he definitely can tell you about my skills and I have a letter of reference from him, just ask.

My first job was at Bank of America as a proof operator for 2 years, then I worked as an office manager/bookkeeper at Versatile Drilling in Seattle for 3 years, after that I worked at 3 car lots as title clerk/bookkeeper, then Office Manager at Buchanan Air in Seattle this is where I met my CPA friend that encouraged me to become self employed and he would send clients to me, which worked really well for over 30 years. I was never without clients until this present economy.

Many of my clients went out of business in the last 2 years & so I can start tomorrow with you. I would like an office manager or full time bookkeeper job as soon as possible, I am willing to stay in a full time position or I can do part time at least 30 hours, I would just pick up a a few businesses to do at home, however I would like to be done being self employed and would like someone else to have all the responsibility.

I can start this week, I am really good with people, I do not need much direction as I learn quickly, and adapt easily. At one point I had over 200 small business clients, from car lots, restaurants, stores, many construction companies, advertising firms. etc.

I am a quick learner, I can work on my own, I have worked out of my own for over 30 years now. Hence the name of my business, Clean Up Bookkeeping Service, because I specialize in coming in and totally re-doing the whole office into an easier to understand system. With a notebook always left so anyone can know how to do my job at last minute - because life happens.

I may not look like I have a strong resume, but I have STRONG experience, and really STRONG skills plus many references to offer you.

At this point I will do anything to start, I have been self employed for almost 35 years and have worked for every single kind of small company from picking up their receipts, checking account, a/r, a/p paying their bills, general ledger, payroll, taxes, general ledger, quick books, simply accounting.

I have worked with Simply Accounting, Peach Tree and some Quick Books, I can do ten key at a rate of 13,000 and type 70 wpm, I recently took the Accounting tests at Robert Half Account-temps and my score was 98 out of 100 questions answered accurately.

I realize this may not look like I need a job but I really do as quick as possible, the last 4 clients just closed down this week. I would rather be in an office. I am not great at standing on my feet for over 4 hours a day. I did not move to Las Vegas to end up jobless or homeless - I have been self employed basically all my life, never without an income & I am used to making over $100,000 a year - no I am not expecting to makethat - I am also looking forward to not having all that monthly overhead anymore or paying for all my own benefits anymore or Social Security and Health Insurance.

Skill set:

Excellent people/phone skills, learn/adapt quickly, all accounting, paying bills, a/r, a/p, g/l, payroll & taxes, supervision over 20 people, bank reconciliations, data entry, title clerk for car lots, ten key 13,000 per minute, typing skills 70 wpm. Truly I can do anything, I am white, 57 look and feel 37, I can legally work in this country, never have had a ticket, dui, drug issue or an accident, my license it totally clear.

I am ready and willing to start work within the week.
