Field Technician/Lead Installer 7/16 to Present

Lead a three man crew in Installation of ICloud Servers and Routers for AT&T customers, including full installs of Cisco Nexus9396PX, Cisco Nexus3048TP,Catalyst 4500 X-series, Dell Power-edge R730xd and 830, HP ProLiant DL380 Gen9. Field Technician/Installer 4/15 to 7/16

I was hired by CoreTech for Arris where I was immediately put to work for Google. The position I held there was Installations Technician and my responsibilities were but not limited to working with power (AC and DC). Running fiber, testing and terminating to varies equipment ie: BTI, Juniper, Cisco, Infinera, ARISTA DCS-7508. Troubleshoot open tickets after receiving PCR’s and close them upon completion. I also ran CAT5 and CAT6, I terminated heads and test (straight, cross and rollover). Full installs of BTI, Juniper and Cisco routers also of Infinera, ARISTA and Cienna 6500. Once that project was over I was moved over to the CableVision project where I continued to be an Installations Technician in the field. My responsibilities there were to preform full installs of the Arris E-6000 box, installations consist of running, terminating and testing Fiber (OTDR). Running and putting head on Cat 6, also terminating and testing Cat 6. Patch panel terminations. Running and terminating coax 50 f-mini connectors and 50 MCX connectors. Powering the E-6000. Working with DC power. I also did the Hot Cut. Once that project came to an end I was moved over to the ComCast project where I am currently a Field Installations Technician and my responsibilities now include Full install of the Cisco Router 9000v. Installations consist of running, testing and terminating Cat6. Powering 9000v to both A and B side of the fuse panel. Testing, running and terminating fiber. Making sure fiber pass light test and scoping each strand of fiber.

Install Water Fall on latter rack, Install 44ch Mux/De-mux (CMD44) 100ghz C-Band. Also Test Fiber with DTX Analyzer, and terminated Panduit connector. And racking and stacking. I am experienced in Brocade, DCS Frame, iDEN, Firewall, MRV, OBM, Over Head Panels and Migration and Fex’s. Perform OTDR, Ethernet BER acceptance testing with Fluke Link Runner, Fiber Rings, SONET Rings. I do blade extensions and patch panels. I am versed with Cisco/Juniper switch, firewalls, Routers and Access points.

Installed RF for BSNL-3G on the 1800 and 2100 GSM band and tested.

In charge of 3 to 12 men crew to install CISCO UBR 3G60 for Cablevision in Head-end. My responsibilities are to create expansions to allow more traffic, so that Cablevision may provide service to more customers. The way I make such expansions is by installing UBR routers, RF switches, power supplies, gateway switches, MAXNET CANS, barrel plates and DTI switch for timing. I run Coax on racks from UBR to trunks and terminate to Barrel Plate and trunks. I run fiber and CAT5 from gateway switch to UBR routers. I am also responsible for doing cut-over’s. A cut-over is simply replacing the existing UBR routers with new ones that allow more traffic. This process of replacing the UBR’s can only take place during the overnight hours.
