Senior Systems Engineer and Web Engineer. Data Center Operations Manager
Successfully led a team of five senior and junior systems support engineers. Excelled in day-to-day and on-call system troubleshooting and analysis through real-time system monitoring, alerting and application log analysis. Responsibilities included managing six international data center co-locations, as well as IT infrastructure management as it relates to physical servers, storage and network load balancers.
Key Achievements:
Managed a hybrid AWS environment. Implemented Auto Scaling Groups to deploy additional, on-demand server infrastructure in AWS Cloud to supplement on premise Email and Voice delivery servers.
Leveraged AWS CloudFront Service to improve web site performance.
Successfully completed migration of 150+ physical & virtual Win2K3 servers to Win2K12R2 OS platform. Project included working with developers to ensure code compatibility and Quality Assurance teams to ensure working environments post migration of each of the 90+ applications.
Implemented SSO integration with various technology partners using Microsoft ADFS 2.0 and ADFS 3.0. Configured SSO logon with partners using ADFS, OKTA, PingFederate and OneLogin. Troubleshooting using SAML Tracer and ADFS event logs
Recently travelled to London and Amsterdam to build out, from scratch, the company’s new data center co-locations. I’ve led this project from equipment procurement to physical installation at the data centers.
Singlehandedly manage global co-location data center operations. Deploying and configuring new hardware such as Cisco UCS, Dell Compellent and Nimble Storage arrays. Managed all aspects of Data Center Operations, including vendor relations and contract negotiations.
