Led a group of 15-20 meter employees. Responsible for hiring, training and motivating all of new hires. Also was responsible for $500K budget and numerous pay for performance indicators.

Part of team that won FPL’s President’s Cup for Quality. Team created a quality improvement process that helped reduce meter reading errors by over 25% resulting in FPL being recognized as the leader in meter reading in the United States.

Acquired the most improved meter reading department award in 1996.

Account Manager (1988 – 1995)

Managed all facets of customer service and sales for 10 to 50 of the largest industrial customers in FPL’s service territory. This included being available to customers 24 hours a day to ensure the complete restoration of their electric service. Involved in technical concept sales, which included performing complex energy audits to determine if any energy efficient equivalent was available. Energy audits performed for customers, calculated initial cash outlay to help determine feasibility of project.

Instrumental in the training video for New Business Energy Evaluation. This video was used for all new account managers in their initial training.

Performed numerous energy audits which helped reduce FPL demand by over 100 KW as well as reducing the customers’ energy bills.

Reduced one customer’s monthly electric bill by $20K
