Plant Manager for 80,000 sq ft plant that manufactures rubber products including molded, extruded, die cut and assembled products. Key markets include transit, rail, heavy industrial and appliance industries. Manage all aspects including operations, sales, engineering, accounting and quality. Responsible for complete P&L, budget and strategic planning.
Increased sales significantly from $8 million/yr to $17 million/yr by gaining market share, adding new products and the acquisition of the Chardon Rubber Company
Profitability was increased from 5% EBIT to 12% EBIT by growing the business, implementing lean manufacturing, improving quality and reducing costs
Expanded the plant by 30,000 sq ft to include rubber extrusion manufacturing which was added through the Chardon Rubber Company acquisition. Completed the building addition and moved equipment into Durox within a six month period without losing any customers during the transition period
