SENIOR PMO PROGRAM / PROJECT MANAGER / PROFESSIONAL SERVICES MANAGER

(Master Certificate in Project Management)

25 years of operations management and consulting in the IT environment. The last 8 years as an Independent Contractor specializing in all aspects of project management (from PMO origination, leadership/reporting to hands on project management) across Healthcare, Retail, Professional Services, Investment Banking and Manufacturing.

INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR (9/2008-PRESENT):

Led engagements at large corporations and government entities, providing all levels of Project Management - ranging from creating and managing a financial industry owned portal, to establishing and implementing a corporate PMO, to traditional Project Management. Engagements can be directed at 3 major areas of focus below:

1. Data Collection and Analytics (2016)

Coca-Cola, Traveler’s Insurance: Project Manager for Big Data initiatives (utilizing Hadoop, AWS; Redshift, EC2 – Elastic Compute, EBS – Elastic Block Storage, etc.). Controlled project timelines, risks, issues etc. to mine, deliver and analyze data determining how weather patterns and marketing campaigns alter Coca-Cola’s regional sales, and how real-time customer driving habit data can be used to improve Traveler’s auto insurance products. Earned AWS APN Accreditations for AWS Business Professional and AWS TCO and Cloud Economics.

These changes were required to handle new processing of all non-traditional services for less expensive at-home care.

Thomson Reuters: Orchestrated four data center migrations from third-party to Thomson Reuters facilities, reducing overhead costs at corporate tax data aggregation service subsidiary. Hardware / software incompatibility required multi-stage effort to convince hundreds of clients (contractually not required) to allow upgrades of their software. Siwel Consulting: Managed the professional services business (400 employee consulting firm building out and maintaining datacenters for mid-size companies). Designed, implemented and managed the Project Management Office (PMO), then automated numerous processes to increase cash flow to the bottom line. This included automating notifications to salespeople regarding client prepaid buckets of maintenance hours running low and automating billing for earlier revenue recognition. Centralized the engagement tracking to simplify scheduling of field technician’s work and tied it to online time sheet entries representing tasks on project plans which rolled up into dashboards for upper management showing near real-time statistics and P&L calculations on client engagements.
