The Gazette Company is comprised of the print edition of the Cedar Rapids Gazette, broadcast KCRG (an ABC affiliate) and online/mobile properties such as thegazette.com, kcrg.com, iowaprepsports.com, and hooplanow.com. The Gazette owns and operates a marketing services company, FusionFarm.

Developed new feature content through partnerships which supplemented that produced by the News room to extend the Gazette's brand and help attract and engage new and existing readers and increase the appeal of sites to local and national ad buyers. Boosted unique site visits to all digital properties on average of 12%. Began to see a noticeable lowing of the age demographic of the print and broadcast News sites;

Put in place Real Time Bidding (RTB) platforms for remnant ad space using Rubicon, and Adhence.

Responsible for user acquisition campaigns focused on the digital news products with social, and email channels to build revenue and lower age demographics

Director of Marketing & Communications US / Canada, - The New Zealand Government Dept. of Labour – Wellington NZ (2003 – 2007) Provided labor trends, market research, and analysis on behalf of the New Zealand Dept. of Labour as well as conducted marketing program activities and branding to attract skilled migrants and graduate students to key industries/positions with the goal addressing skilled labor shortages. I was able to increase applications for visas by over 250% in first full year. Use social channels (yahoo/MSN groups for user acquisition Project complete.

Vice President of Marketing, Communications, & Business Development - Fios Inc.–Portland, OR (1999 – 2003) Fios was an early stage start-up which I co-founded. Fios developed an eDiscovery legal services SaaS platform and web based product offering. I oversaw all Brand development and Marketing activities including naming the company, designing the logo, corporate web site, and company / product positioning and focused media planning and execution. Oversaw all PR and Communications efforts using external agencies. In addition, I developed content and lead generation processes leading to that the company was considered the premier provider of eDiscovery services by the second year. Developed various vendor and channel partnerships with major law firms and service providers nationwide. We had 5 million in revenue after the first full year. Left to start a new venture in the corporate digital risk space.
