To Whom It May Concern:
After 12-years working as a Master HVAC, Plumber/ Gas Fitter I became a Project Manager for a mechanical contractor. During my tenor as a project manager, I was able to rise to the position of Sr. Project Manager with several Project Managers on my team, under my direction. During the recession in 2010 while working for Delcard Associates as subsidiary of Comfort Systems USA; corporate elected to close Delcard and as such my career changed. With little opportunities in the market place available during those hard economic times in the construction economy, no one was hiring senior management. As such, I started Scott Mechanical, LLC. Over the next six years I was able to build a company that grew from just a small six-thousand dollar investment to a company with an average annual revenue of over three million dollars and over 20- employees. During this time my wife and I brought two beautiful daughters (Camilla and Charlotte) into the world.
After six years of working in excess of eighty-hours a week we contracted with what turned out to be not the most favorable General Contractors on three projects. This lead to insurmountable legal cost to collect the money they owed us. It was then that I realized it was no longer worth the fight and that I was missing the most important thing in life; my children’s youth. As such, I elected to close Scott Mechanical and search for opportunities that would afford me more time to enjoy my children and family.
I am licensed Master HVACR and Plumbing mechanic in Maryland, Delaware and WSSC with over 32-years of experience and have been providing expert mechanical construction services in all phases of mechanical contracting, including conceptual design and budgeting, and full estimating services. My commitment to excellence and customer service has contributed directly to my continued success within the industry: a success that has been measured by new growth and satisfied repeat customers.
I trust that my abilities and interests will be an excellent match for the requirements of the job and that I could be a positive leader for the company. My work history illustrates my experience in estimating and managing projects ranging from under one million to in excess of thirty million. Through this history I have had the pleasure of working on many projects from design inception to the commissioning and final turn over.
I hope you will look at my resume and speak with my references, as this letter is only a glimpse of my strengths and abilities. Thank you for your consideration and I look forward to building our futures together.
Sincerely,
Scott Holsclaw
