Project Name : AGC in multi area inter connected power system
Deregulated environment with HVDC links using
HYDRO NEURO FUZZY Controller.

Description: Automatic generation control (AGC) plays important. Role in power system;
its main role is to maintain the system frequency and tie line flow at their
scheduled values during normal period in an interconnected system. This
project proposes Hybrid Neuro Fuzzy approach for the applications of AGC of
a hydro thermal and thermal thermal systems in a power system deregulated
environment. Results of the system with Neuro Fuzzy Controller are compared
with that of the conventional PI Controller. The aim of the proposed controller
is to restore the frequency to its nominal value in the smallest possible time
whenever there is any change in the load demand etc.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Involved in the below mentioned roles & responsibilities for the preparation of Hybrid Neuro Fuzzy
Controller in Deregulated Environment:
Evaluated the normal outputs by
using PI Controller of desired power circuit.
Applied different fuzzification rules on
Inputs and outputs.
After applying the rules, the entire
system was placed in the Power circuit named as HNF Controller Circuit(Hybrid Neuro Fuzzy controller)
The HNF circuit was applied to
deregulate Environment to find the outputs.
Compared the PI Controller outputs
with HNF Controller outputs which are used in the Deregulated Environment.
Based on outputs of both controllers,
Business concluded that HNF controller showed good performance and high accuracy than PI Controller
outputs.
