International markets. Since starting with McDermott Scotland in their Ardersier yard at the
very beginning of the UK’s offshore fabrication industry, career has progressed from

several landmark jackets over a period of time when modern design / construction
philosophies were evolving.
Key attributes include dedication to project completion, good man management with team
members and shop floor workers; ability to organise workforces and schedule priorities to
ensure resources are correctly assigned and work is completed in accordance with planned
objectives.
Experience
Consultant/Advisor. (August 2008 – October 20012)
In August 2008 I became a Consultant/Advisor to a company called PT BCM Indonesia.
This was on a part time basis through my own choice.
This was a newly set up company and they were looking for someone with experience to help
them win contracts and to advise them on pricing for work.
This company was based in Batam, Indonesia and it was a labour supply company who
provided all types of trades to the local shipyards and also a company that took on lump sum
jobs in the shipyards.
My role was to advise them when it came to pricing for lump sum jobs and also to advise them
on manpower rates for labour supply contracts.
Construction Manager: (July 2007 – August 2008) CUULONG.
Employed by CUULONG JOINT OPERATING COMPANY in the PT McDermott yard in Batam,
Indonesia as Construction Manager for the fabrication of a 66 man Living Quarters for the Su
Tu Vang Project, Vietnam. The construction was undertaken by PT McDermott and I was
representing the client overseeing and advising the Contractor during the fabrication, erection,
outfitting and commissioning phases of the Project.
The Living Quarters was successfully completed and installed on the main Production Platform
in the McDermott yard in Batam prior to the platform being transported offshore.
Construction Manager: (December 2005 – May 2007) PT McDermott, Indonesia.
Employed by PT McDermott at their construction yard on Batam Island. Initially employed as
Consultant Construction Manager on the fabrication and assembly of two pontoons for a semi
submersible drilling rig for Keppell Fels, Singapore.
After completing the pontoon project I moved on to being a Shipment Manager in charge of the
fabrication, erection and outfitting of 27 modules spread over 9 shipments to Australia for the
Woodside Train V LNG Project which was the world’s first modularized LNG train.
Consultant: (October 2004 – May 2005) Petrology Pipeline Fusion, Glasgow, Scotland
Employed by Petrology Pipeline Fusion. Initially working in their Glasgow office on a
consultancy basis providing assistance in developing a Project Execution Plan for a future
project in Kazahkstan. Later relocated to Tengiz oilfield in Kazahkstan to manage a Petrology
workforce for the specialist welding of an Inlet Separator vessel and 3 Propane Storage Tanks.
Wall thickness of these pressure vessels ranged from 70mm to 140mm and up to 7metres
diameter.

McDermott yard on Batam Island, Indonesia. The Hull of the FPSO was built in China and
relocated to Batam for the installation of the topsides. The Hull arrived from China with a
significant amount of uncompleted work and I was employed as Hull Construction Manager to
