PROJECT WORK
“FPGA Implementation of basic functionalities of an 8-bit
Microprocessor”.
The project primarily focuses on implementation of basic functionality of
an 8-bit microprocessor using FPGA. Xilinx’s SPARTAN 3E FPGA is
programmed using VHDL to perform execution of a program similar to a
microprocessor– Opcode Fetch, Decode, Execution, Data access, etc., .
The FPGA is programmed to perform basic 8-bit Arithmetic, Logical and
Bitwise Operations in direct as well as in immediate addressing modes.
