Corporate Field Safety Manager (2005 – Present)
Responsible for managing company safety program of a 1200 employee Sub-Contractor spanning three states.
Company liaison in all meetings with OSHA and government representatives regarding safety related matters.
Review and approve Accident Prevention Plans for all new projects. Update corporate safety program and
employee safety training. Perform extensive training in topics such as OSHA 10 & 30 hour competencies, CPR/
First Aid/AED, certification for equipment operators aerial and scissor lifts and Hazard Communication,
Provide primary support for major construction ($20 million+), small construction ($2-20 million), HVAC Service
and Special Projects and Industrial Refrigeration (ammonia and thermal) divisions.
Regularly conduct work site inspections to ensure staff and sub-contractor compliance with USACE EM 385-1-1,
OSHA 1926, and company construction standards, regulations and safety rules. Provide recommendations based
on findings to ensure optimal safety posture of all field and shop activities. Investigate all accidents and near
misses, compiling relevant reports and implementing actions to avoid future occurrences. Provide critical safety
input during pre-construction meetings with staff, subcontractors, owners and vendors. Establish accounts with
medical providers for Workers Compensation treatments and pre-employment drug testing. Cooperatively engaged
with safety representatives from subcontractor firms to deliver uniformity and optimal safety oversight. Research
selected safety equipment and personal protective gear.
