Abstract:

The research was to study about the retention strategies used in the non-governmental

organizations. It also focused on the retention strategy that was more preferred by the

employees. The result was that though salary was one of the reasons for attrition most of the

respondents also said nonmonetary benefits, culture and leadership also is an important

reason why people stick on to or leave the organization.
