Director of New Product Development

● Directly responsible for the development of all products commercialized by Simmons

Bedding Company, USA as well as direction for our international licensees. Simmons has

experienced exceptional growth during my time in this role with sales increasing year over

year in excess of $1 billion in revenue annually.

● Participated in and frequently lead in Simmons Bedding Company's product strategy team which

its purpose was defined by establishing not only our near term company's strategy but also the

forward thinking strategies of our brands and products. This team is comprised of our Executive

Leadership Group as well as the relevant disciplines responsible for determining the company's

path forward.

● Championed and implemented a modified stage gate development process with executive

level support to ensure successful commercialization of our products as well as seamless

integration with our operations group. This process has been modeled after and in conjunction

with consultation from Dr. Robert Cooper.

Newnan including distribution, purchasing, engineering, quality, safety and manufacturing as well

as the management of $7 million in assets.

● Full P& L responsibility reporting to the Chief Operating Officer.

● Managed the qualifying process of ISO9001:2000 and was the lead for implementation.

● Orchestrated a zero percent lost-time accident record for over three years running.

● Negotiated pricing and contracts on behalf of the company for all aspects of the business.
