Practical Experience:

• Perform tractor and trailer diagnostics and make major and minor repairs in a proficient manner

• Perform DOT Inspections, Annual Vehicle Inspections (AVIs) and Planned Maintenance (PM)

• Repair brakes, lighting, cab damage, steering problem, drive train component, suspension,

charging system, routine cooling diagnostics and re charge, routine electrical diagnostics, king

pin replacement and repairs including common fault codes.

• Welding, fabrication repair/replace components on truck body, trailer, chassis, and container to

door header replacement, sub frame replacement including major wreck damage.

• Human Resource functions for maintenance personnel including hiring, training, mentoring,

discipline and terminations. Supervise maintenance employee and contract workers, including

but not limited to, hiring, work assignments, promotions, and termination recommendations.

• Ensure that all maintenance personnel comply with all company policies & procedures.

• Observe, mentor, develop and review the performance and progress of mechanics and all shop

personnel.

• Responsible for shop cleanliness, safety and compliance.

• Perform safety inspections of equipment and prepare safety documentation.

• Maintain proficiency on equipment and technologies that enhance productivity.

• Monitor shop for efficiency, safety, financial controls and maintenance compliance.

• Minimize the time that equipment is out of service.

• Know and comply with pertinent DOT regulations.

• Monitor the sale and disposition of retired and scrapped equipment.
