CAREER SUMMARY:
My previous work experience includes proposal development, desktop publishing, and executive
administrative support and human services. With over 20 years of progressively challenging
responsibilities, I am seeking a position with a progressive company that can benefit from my immense
experience and qualifications. I have an M/BA and would like the opportunity to use my computer,
administrative, organizational, analytical skills, and self-starter abilities to add value to a career
position.
EXPERIENCE
January 2008 to March 2011 MarcParcinc., Washington, DC
Executive Administrative Assistant. I provided executive level support to the President and other members
of senior management. I composed correspondence; made travel and annual retreat arrangements for
senior staff, as well as developed PowerPoint presentations on demand for office meetings or client
presentation. Produced camera ready copy for advertisements, and worked with printer to develop company
branding. Additional duties included researching websites for proposal opportunities and provided proposal
support to marketing vice president when requested. At President’s request and criteria, I developed an
Access database to monitor terms of leases and management agreements in the portfolio and Microsoft
Dynamics CRM database. I ordered supplies, equipment, and furniture for the office and field operations as
well as produce layout of forms for office personnel based on finalized logo branding; produce camera
ready copy of articles for inclusion in outside publications; business cards; employee documentation such as
handbooks; and courtesy cards. Additionally, I served as point of contact for office logistics issues for office
staff as well as satellite offices and outside vendors. Additional duties are performed as assigned or required.
June 2001 to April 2007 LifeStyles of Maryland Foundation, Inc., La Plata, MD
Director, Business and Organizational Development. In this capacity, I provided instruction for developing
businesses, creating processes and procedures for companies, as well as provided oversight management to
staff working at contracted services locations such as the transitional house for men that gave the residents
the opportunity to gain control of their lives by providing a safe environment to seek employment or become
entrepreneurs, establish money management skills, and take control of personal credit issues so they may go
back into the mainstream of society as productive citizens. I was responsible for an additional incubator
contracted facility which allows small companies the opportunity to combine resources for administrative
functions thereby reducing the overhead cost of running a small business. Additional services provided to
the seven companies housed in the facility and the 25 virtual companies were meeting spaces, business leads,
and seminars. Additionally, developed proposal submissions, and generation of reports and presentations as
needed.
July 1998 to May 2001 IQ Solutions, Inc., Rockville, MD
Desktop Publisher. In this capacity I provided word processing and desktop publishing support for various
government contracts. I developed layouts for several high profile contracts such as Healthy People 2010
Campaign, the National Reading Panel, Annual Office of Rural Health Policy Source Books and the CMHS
Resource Directory using PageMaker, MSWord, WordPerfect, and Excel to meet client specifications.
Additionally, I developed a layout for HRSA State Profiles per client verbalization of request for each State
and Providence in the United States the by using Word and Excel. These Profiles have been converted into

Adobe Acrobat and were later posted on the World Wide Web. Quick turnaround in the production of
problematic and ad hoc documents is routinely provided. I am proficient in Windows XP and MAC OS
operating systems and use multiple cross-platform software applications which include but not limited to
WordPerfect, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, Access, PageMaker, Adobe PhotoShop, Freehand, and
Microsoft Exchange e-mail programs.
August 1988 to July 1997 PRC Inc., McLean, VA
Electronic Publishing Specialist. In this capacity I was responsible for completing all phases of proposal
production including request for proposal interpretation and specifications, staff coordination and scheduling,
maintaining quality control of electronic and camera-ready documents, and creating and establishing
procedures and processes for soft-copy submissions as required. My responsibilities included but were not
limited to: 1) formatted text and designed style sheets. Also established departmental procedures, scheduled
staff as needed to provide peak service, and trained employees as required.
