Junior Engineer - Engine Assembly & Testing

Roles and Responsibilities:

. Responsible for the Production and the Quality of Engine's &

Genset's produced.

. Manpower handling in the entire three shifts.

. Line Balancing.

. Process improvement, POKA YOKE (Mistake Proofing) Audit.

. Improve"5S" & Follow TPM, KAIZEN On Shop Floor.

. CIT, KAIZEN. To solve the issue related to assy. laps.

. Responsible for Dispatch of product at right time.

. Controlling Line Material Rejection, DWM Chart & Skill Matrix of

man power.

. O.R.C meeting for Problems related to maintenance, in house

quality, supply and receiving quality.

. Responsible for ensuring Safety in assembly line.

. To attend field related problems & Implement Corrective and

Preventive Actions (CAPA) in Assembly shop.

. Coordinate with vendors to solve problems related to them in the

product.

. Coordinate with customers & provide proper guidance to solve field

problems.

. To introduce items that can add to cost reduction of the end

product.

Major projects executed:

. Started the assembly shop for Genset in International Tractors

limited & took the production capacity to 150 nos. Monthly.

. Setting up the Genset assembly from Offline build to Online

Conveyor and reduced the take time from 40mins to 15mins.

. Established all system & documentation related to production,

quality & dispatch of gensets in ITL.

. Project of SCADA implementation in assembly shop floor and testing

department.

. Drafting the documentation like Control Charts & Work Instruction.

. Drafting of Standard Operating Procedure for Assembly line

Processes.

. Line Balancing for Engine & Genset Assembly Line.

. Totally changed the Material handling system from Racks to kit

system and improved 5'S' on shop floor.

. New tool design for line and lots of Kaizen done for the

improvement of assembly.

. Undertook a major Ergonomically Project for material sorting &

arrangement.

Achievement:

. Promoted to Assembly shop in charge (for entire shifts) within 11

Months of working.

. Highest Production of 153 Gensets in a month achieved.

. Conveyor setup done for Production.

. Highest number of genset's produced in a day.

. Achieved zero rack system in assembly line.
