Title : Design of multi-storeyed building
Description : Cities are faster growing with urban population,growing year by year by leap and bounds.Due
to ever increasing population the needs of the people have been growing abundantly.Due to the growth of
population and large scale industrialisation,the land values are soaring higher.At this stage the vertical planning
becomes more advantageous than horizontal planning.
To meet the demands of the people and due to higher cost of land the multistoried residential buildings
are found to be economical.
Especially in the cities where land values are high,people are showing interest to have such types of
flats because those are comparitively economical than the individual houses which are having the same builtup
area.
Coming to our project,the structure is a four storeyed residential building consisting of alltogether 6
residential flats two in each floor.The ground floor completely earmarked for parking and other purposes such
as electrical rooms etc..A typical central staircase is also provided in the complex to connect all the flats.
This project deals with a multi-storied residential complex of four stories(G+3).The method of analysis
used for this frame structure is developed by Prof.Gasper Kani in 1957.The method of iteration,consists in
breaking of end moments,due to deformation of a member under conditions of loading,into their element by
successive approximations and detemining the final values of the end moments by the methods of super
positions.
The multi-storied buildings are designed by using limit state method of design using IS 456-2000.
ACHIEVEMENTS:
