Transformers, 13.8kV switchgear, Relay/Control, SCADA, Firefighting, HVAC

POWER SUPPLY TO PUMPING

STATION OF SHUQAIQ PHASE-II, WTS (SWCC)

PROJECT DESCRIPTION : 1-Construction of

three new GIS 132/13.8 KV S/S at Pumping Stations PSA2, PSA3 and PSA4 2-

Construction of three new 33/13.8 KV Substations at Pumping Stations PSDJ,

PSR1 & PSR2. Extension of two 33kV Switchgear Panels at existing two

Substations

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES,

-Generally responsible for implementations and monitoring of all electrical

related works at site.

- Estimates, prepare and assign the resources such as manpower, materials,

consumables, equipment, tools, etc., required for all electrical and

related works prior to execution of substation.

- Plans and analyses all possible construction methodologies and recommends

the best options to the Site manager for approval prior to execution at

site.

- Interprets construction drawings and studies the contract documents and

applicable standards or specifications prior to execution of any jobs.

- Manages directly and provide engineering and technical supports to all

the electrical work groups at site.

- Plans the execution of all electrical related works and coordinates the

works to mechanical and civil groups.

- Coordinates with Client / Consultant's representatives for any site

instructions and inspection of works.

- Assign targets for accomplishments and ensure targets are met on daily

basis for all electrical groups at site.

- Submits site daily reports, inspection requests, estimates and all

applicable monitoring reports on regular basis or as required.

-Supports the Site Manager in accomplishing all the goals and targets for

the electrical groups at site.

-Ensures that all the works done are in accordance with the approved

construction drawings, contract documents, project specifications, and all

applicable standards whether local, national or international NEC, SEC

standards

- Prepare control, relay, metering, communication schematic and wiring

diagrams for substation facilities.

- Responds to questions and RFIs from the construction contractor dealing

with applicable civil / structural components.

-Cable tray erection,

control cable pulling, power cable pulling, cable dressing Panel Board

erection, Control Panel Termination, Gas Insulated Switch gear (GIS)

erection, Transformer erection, Gantry erection, Substation earthing and

lighting.

-Estimation for

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES,

-Monitor and supervise all electrical works Medium Voltage, Low Voltage

distribution system, lighting, power, lighting protection and grounding and

generators.

-Managing activities right from the conceptualization stage to execution,

involving finalization of technical specification.

-Carry out the execution of LV installation as directed by the project

engineer following approved shop drawing and project schedule.

-Manages the execution personnel assigned through monitoring and issuing

objectives assignments to the foreman.

-Assist with selection of lighting fixtures, and system control.

-Monitor and supervise the witnessing of testing & commissioning of all

electrical system.

-Monitor the final inspection of completed electrical works before handling

over the client.

-Supervises the activities of assigned personnel. Performs supervisory

functions and excesses financial authorities established by management for

this level Supervises and directs the execution of planned and breakdown

maintenance and repairs of all instrumentation control systems in assigned

field.

- Retrieves monthly maintenance plans from system; sets weekly schedule and

prepares daily

activities.

- Ensures availability of adequate manpower, materials, spares, tools, and

test equipment guided by standard procedures.

-Provides technical direction to subordinates on fault finding diagnoses

and repairs. Inspects work progress/completed work through site visits

and/or review of work records to ensure proper and timely execution. Adjust

work schedules to accommodate urgently required work and follows up receipt

of work orders upon completion of repairs procedures.

-Updates all equipment and plant maintenance records by inputting

activities in the system. Plans and supervises efficient workshop services

in support of maintenance and project activities.

-Orders spares and materials as necessary and controls the inventory of

consumable, precision instruments and test equipment.

-Schedules and supervises day-to-day workshop activities to ensure the

proper utilization of manpower and equipment. Assesses priorities and

provides instructions for any special procedures, standards and materials

required.

-Monitors and follows up to ensure all work is carried out to high

technical and safety standards in all workshop disciplines.

- Ensures regular inspection and maintenance of workshop machinery,

precision and testing equipment, reviews and plans future workshop

activities considering workshop equipment, resources and material

availability.

-Monitors all work carried in the workshop to ensure that safety rules and

regulations are being followed. Empowered to stop any operation not

following the established safety procedures.
