Directed and coordinated all activities of the laboratory, to include
supervision and training of nine technicians and administrative personnel.
Created new procedural manuals and QA forms in support of the transition
to a new anatomic pathology laboratory, and led planning and set-up

monthly blood utilization committee meetings. Gave anatomic pathology

workflow within the histology laboratory. Wrote Standard Operating
Procedure manuals in accordance with established regulatory standards.
Monitored and implemented laboratory safety protocols to ensure
compliance with applicable rules and regulations as specified by

and Immunohistochemical stains, both manually and with the DAKO
Autostainer and Artisan. Produced high quality histologic sections from
human tissue; this involved fixation, processing, embedding, microtomy,
and routine staining. Cut frozen sections. Performed pathology
transcription. Maintained safety records. Assisted with preparations for
regulatory inspections, to include writing Standard Operating Procedures.
